Master Zhao's gaze flashed with ice as he stared at me, suddenly breaking into a smile. He picked up a shard of glass, raised his hand without any courtesy, and made a swipe at my face.
"You slut! Seems you're too lightweight to even remember your own damn place. Today I'll remind you what you really amount to without me." Hearing him say that, I instinctively closed my eyes, and Sister Su gasped from the side.
But with so many of Master Zhao's men here, there was no way for me to stop them. Provoking Master Zhao to strike was the only way to buy time, so Sister Su and Cheng Yu could be temporarily safe.
"Stop!" A low voice suddenly thundered, just as the glass was mere centimeters from my cheek. Master Zhao and I both looked up, following the sound.
Cheng Yu stood in the direction of the second floor, his face somewhat pale, his gaze fixated on Master Zhao, "Chairman Zhao, don't you think you owe me an explanation for this scene?"
