(Zack wakes up and begins his usual morning routine but this time he starts thinking about the previous days events)
[Dammit I just can't get my mind off of what happened yesterday. I mean a quest suddenly changing ranks. But enough of that for now. Right now I just need to get my head in the game and reach Silver rank so that I can form that guild]
(After finishing his morning routine Zack proceeded to log into Windwaker Odyssey)
(Nightwalker spawned in near the World Guild building. Upon arriving he headed into the building and immediately saw Starfield picking up a quest)
Hey there Starfield, picking up a quest I see. So what quest are you doing?
Oh Nightwalker it's you. Well if you must know I'm picking an escorts mission.
A escort mission huh? Wait don't you normally go on subjugation missions, so why an escort mission this time?
Well normally that is the case but yesterday's incident really freaked me out so I'm staying away from subjugation missions for a while.
I know what you mean I've also been thinking about that. I know you said it was a glitch or something but I just feel like there was more to that than just a simple glitch. Anyways I'm over thinking this.
Yeah you kinda are. Anyways I'm guessing you're here to take the rankings quest right?
Ranking quest? What the heck is a ranking quest.
What!? How don't you know what a ranking quest is, I'm pretty sure it was explained when the tournament ended.
Oh it was huh well since you remembered that then you should remember that I died in the final day ultimately granting a one ban.
Oh crap I forgot about that. Sorry about that, well since you don't know about ranking quests I might as well explain. You see in order to rank up you need to complete certain quests given to you by the receptionist.
So you can just ask the receptionist for a ranking quest and they'll just give you one. Sounds convenient.
It's not as simple as that. Before you're given the quest the receptionist will assess your level, if it's too low they won't give you the quest but I'm sure that won't be a problem for you. Anyways once you complete the quest your rank will increase. Simple right?
Oh well that makes sense. Well then I know what I'm gonna do now. Thanks Starfield and good luck on your quest.

(Nightwalker and Starfield go their separate ways. Afterwards Nightwalker heads to the receptionist and asks for a ranking quest)
Hey there how are you doing? I'd like to take on a ranking quest please.
Very well but first can you please verify your level so I can test your eligibility for the quest.
If I may ask, how do you view your level?
Quite simple all you have to do is open your menu and view your profile it'll show there.
Oh well thank you.
(Nightwalker opens his system menu and revels his level to the receptionist)
Damn level fifty six. How the heck did get this far. Well it must mean that the EXP I've been gaining from the past few quest was more than I thought. Sorry for rambling anyways do I qualify for the ranking quest?
Yep you do, in fact you qualify for two ranking quest.
What does that mean?
It means that you have the chance to rank up twice. Quite rare if you ask me.
Wait doesn't that mean that I can get to Silver rank more quickly. Nice.
Well since you look ready I'll go register you for the ranking quest immediately.
(The receptionist heads into a backroom and after a bit of time she comes out and hands Nightwalker the quest instructions)
For this quest you have to go to a small village north from here and liberate it from monsters. Also since this is a ranking quest you have to accomplish this task on your own, outside assistance is strictly prohibited.
All right I understand.
(Nightwalker then leaves and begins heading to the quest site)
Okay from what the receptionist said, I should be heading to a small village called the Mellow village. She didn't specify the monsters I would be dealing with so I'll have to prepare for any eventuality.
(Nightwalker continued his travels. After a while decides to check the map and see how much further his destination is. To his astonishment he hadn't even reached half way to his destination)
You gotta be kidding me! Not even half way, man this place is far and now that I think about it the distance between the kingdom and the edge of the realm is shorter than the route I'm taking now. No use in complaining, I should just grit my teeth and bear it.
(After what felt like hours of traveling Nightwalker finally arrived at the Mellow village)
Finally, man that took long enough. Aww man I just realized that I still need to make a return trip. Well that's a problem for later.
(As Nightwalker entered the village gate he saw a sorrowful sight. The village looked void of life, there were destroyed buildings as well as many depressed people)
Woah this is a sad sight. Man for a place called the Mellow village this place doesn't look all that mellow.
(Nightwalker continued on until he reached the center of the village, he was then approached by an elderly woman who seemed to be the village chief)
Good day there young man. Might you be the adventurer that was sent here to help?
Oh hey there. Yep my name is Nightwalker and I'm here to clear this village of its monster problem.
That is wonderful news, it would seem that our prayers have been answered.
Who are you anyways, from your attire I'm guessing that you are the village chief or something.
Oh where are my manners. I am Helen and I am the elder of the Mellow village. Despite the name, the village hasn't been mellow for quite a while.
That sounds awful. How long have the monsters been terrorizing your people anyway.
The monsters have been around for years although we were able to deal with them for a while. This was the case until recently when the monsters suddenly became much stronger out of nowhere. Us village folk have been trying to survive since but unfortunately the monster raids have prevented us from hunting and growing crops as such we began to starve, I have no idea how much longer we can last.
Don't worry miss cause I'm here now. I'll defeat all the monsters and restore peace to you village. Although I'll need some information in order to help out efficiently.
Of course, what information do you require?
Firstly I need to know what kind of monsters I'll be dealing with and lastly can you give me the layout of the area the monsters reside.
Of course anything to help. The monsters you'll be fighting are goblins and you'll find the layout you require from one of the village soldiers by the back gate. I'll notify the soldiers of your arrival they'll guide you to the monsters.
(Nightwalker heads to the back gate and finds a soldier guarding the area)
Hey you must be the soldier I should retrieve the layout from.
Oh and you must be the adventurer that miss Helene told me to look out for. Well here is the layout you requested, hopefully you'll be able to use the better than we did.
Thank you very much. This layout should make things a whole lot easier for me anyways miss Helene told me that you'd guide me to the monsters.
Oh of course follow me then.
(Nightwalker and the soldier walked to place that looked to be another part of the village)
Wait is this area still part of the village?
Yes it is or rather it was before the monsters took it over. You see when the new variant of first attacked we were caught off guard and thus unable to defend ourselves properly so we all evacuate towards the other side of the village and built a barricade to separate us from the monsters.
So I'm guessing that you've been living in that side for a while now. Looks like these monsters have affected you guys a great deal.
(Nightwalker and the soldier arrive at a huge metallic fence)
We have arrived. Beyond this gate lies the goblins that have been the bane of this village. This is where I stop, unfortunately I cannot accompany further.
Don't worry I understand and besides you're needed much more in the village in case there's another attack but don't worry, I'll deal with these goblins once and for all.
You are greatly appreciated, before you go I'd like to say good luck and godspeed. We are all depending on you.
(After the both of them part ways Nightwalker crosses the barricade and begins walking. Nightwalker walks by a lot of houses seemingly abandoned, he continues walking until he finds a goblin patrolling the area)
That's odd a goblin patrolling the area. Last time I checked goblins aren't smart enough to employ a strategy like that. I should caution myself, these clearly aren't your garden verity goblins. Anyways I think I should take this one out silently. Since I'm alone fighting all of them at once would practically be suicide.
(Nightwalker takes out his sword and activates his stealth armor, he then quietly approaches the goblin and stabs it in the heart killing it instantly)
Well that's one down. I should probably hide the body so that the other goblins do get alerted although this goblin blood could be used as bait.
(After hiding the body Nightwalker lubricates his sword in the goblin blood, he then spots a goblin herd and quietly head to them. He then brings his sword to one of the goblins, the goblin smells blood and begins following the scent. When it gets far enough Nightwalker deals the killing blow and hides the body afterwards)
Guess I was right about the goblin blood being bate anyways all I need to do is continue my assassination streak and I'm home free.
(Nightwalker then continues his strategy on all the goblins he encounters. He then reaches an area full of goblin groups)
These goblins look way more organized than the ones I've been dealing with. Now that I think about it the way the goblins are organizing themselves makes me think there's a hierarchy of some sorts and if that's the case this is going to be way more trouble than I initially thought.
(Nightwalker headed towards the smallest group of goblins and began initiating his strategy. He lured one goblin out of the group and once it got far enough he went for the kill but the goblin was still alive after his strike. The goblin realized what was happening and let out a large shriek in response)
Dammit it's alerting the others, I need to get out of here. What, it's not letting me go. Let go of me you son of a...
(Nightwalker releases himself by cutting the goblin's arm off. As he though of running he saw all the alerted goblins in front of him, the goblins began forming a circle around him. He jumped out of the goblin circle but before he could escape he was shot down by a fire spell grounding him immediately. As he got up he saw a wierd looking goblin with a magic staff)
Did that goblin just use magic, what the heck is going on!? Dammit this is very bad, I had hoped I wouldn't be fighting all these goblins at once but now there's one using magic. Based on its appearance it must be a goblin chief but still thought I've never heard of a goblin chief using magic. Looks like I have no other choice, 8 need to fight to get out of here alive.
(Nightwalker tightly gripped his sword in preparation of battle he then began attacking all the goblins surrounding him. Due to his massive level increase the goblin horde was much more easier to deal with and in no time he killed all the goblins he then turned to the goblin chief)
Just you and me now, your magic caught me off guard the first time but I'm ready now so bring it.
(The goblin chief rises its staff and dark aura begins surrounding it. Afterwards the dark aura from the goblin chief begins surrounding the entire battlefield and the goblins that Nightwalker had slain earlier begin rising back from the dead, they then attack him once more)
You're kidding me NECROMANCY!!? This bastard has necromancy, what the heck am I supposed to do against that. Dammit he can build an undead army, I'll run out of mana and stamina at this point then I'll be easy pickings. Okay it's established that the big guy's the one I need to take care of.
(Nightwalker leaps towards the goblin chief but before he could land a hit the goblin horde struck him making him leap back. The goblin chief then creates distance from him)
This bastard is hiding behind his immortal army. Fine then I'll just kill all of them again and before he can think of resurrecting them I'll just kill him then and there.
(Nightwalker began the second round of his slaughter of the goblins, he manages to wipe them all out again and once more turns his attention to the goblin chief and before it could resurrect the army Nightwalker quickly dealt a heavy strike to the ribs of the goblin chief, it then squealed in pain before jumping back)
A clean hit hah take that you ugly green son of a gun. Now then to finish what I started.
(The goblin chief became angry from the attack and began casting magic upon itself. Nightwalker quickly attacked once more but found that the magic the goblin chief casted on itself was armor magic)
That's going to be troublesome, oh well if he casted armor on himself then I just need to break.
(The goblin chief quickly resurrected the goblin army before Nightwalker could attack. Nightwalker was already planning on slaughtering the horde once more but before he could the goblin chief used magic to increase the army's abilities. The upgraded army began overpowering Nightwalker until he made a tactical retreat)
I need to get outta here, fighting these things without a plan will get me killed. Okay time to think, so the only way to win this is by defeating the goblin chief but the buffed up army won't let me do that so what do I do? Yes I got it I'll use my clone ring to distract the horde and get the bastard chief with a sneak attack.
(Just as Nightwalker finished devising his plan the goblin chief found him and unleashed a flurry of fire spells his direction but Nightwalker managed to dodge them all. The goblin army quickly arrived at the goblin chief's location and began attacking Nightwalker)
Didn't think they'd find me this quickly, looks like the goblin chief also has an axe to grind. Well then let's finish this now.
(Nightwalker summoned three clones and activated his stealth armor. The clones engaged the goblin army while the original Nightwalker sneaked past all of them and arrived in front of the goblin chief. He quickly launched an attack but the goblin chief saw this attack and desperately dodged but Nightwalker'and attack knocked the staff from its hand. The goblin chief tried casting a fire spell towards Nightwalker to no avail)
Well well looks like you can't cast magic without your stupid staff now it's time to finish you off. Stand proud goblin chief you were a worthy opponent.
(Nightwalker began enveloping his sword in fire and as he was doing this the goblin chief desperately tried to go for it's staff but as it reached the staff it was slashed in a burning blaze, Nightwalker landed his attack successfully and killed the goblin chief. The goblin army began disintegrating and all that was left was the staff of the goblin chief. Nightwalker collected the staff before making his way back to the village)
That was one tough battle but at least I survived. I'll have to review this staff later but for now I gotta go report back to the village elder.
(Nightwalker returns to the village and meets with the elder)
Hey there miss Helene I've defeated all the monsters so you don't have to worry anymore.
Thank you young adventurer you have truly done us a great service.
(After receiving praise from the village elder and the other villagers Nightwalker begins his long journey back to the World Guild. After a while he made it back to the World Guild building and announced the succession of his quest to the receptionist)
I have done it, I have completed the ranking quest.
Well done. Well then I think it's about time we rank you up.
(Nightwalker began glowing brightly until his system showed him that he had now achieved bronze rank. After this achievement Nightwalker logged out of Windwaker Odyssey happily)
(Zack prepared for bed after logging out as usual. When entering the blankets he began thinking to himself)
{Yes I've done it I've reached Bronze rank all I need to do now is reach Silver rank and I can finally create that guild. Wait I haven't even thought of a name for the guild, aww well we'll cross that bridge when we get there}
(Zack began going to sleep with a fierce determination within him)
