Finally, we arrive at the Ocular's house. I expected a big mansion since her rank is higher than Mirayuki's, but instead, it's just a small, simple wooden cabin nestled in an open space in the forest, with thorny ivy creeping up the walls and a stone chimney emitting a thin wisp of smoke. There's a small garden growing various creepy, mutated vegetables, such as giant carrots with eyes and teeth and bulbous, writhing tomatoes that ooze out a red, slimy substance from their mouths, which makes me wonder if they are truly safe to eat. Around the house, hundreds of cute ghostly animals are running and playing, creating a bizarrely enchanting scene.
All of a sudden, I hear a whistle, and the ghosts stop moving, their playful antics coming to an abrupt halt. They all turn their attention towards the cabin, their eyes fixed on the door as if waiting for someone important.
