Lucky for me, when I arrive at Serpentara, Mirayuki is home.
"Huh? Aren't you supposed to be teaching right now? Why are you here?" she asks groggily as she opens the door, half-yawning. Her black hair is a tousled mess, and she's still wearing her cute pajama suit—an oversized hoodie with bunny ears and fluffy shorts.
I feel bad for interrupting her beauty sleep, but I don't have a choice.
"I canceled the class. There's something urgent I need to consult with you about," I explain, stepping inside.
"Consult with me?" Mirayuki rubs her eyes, blinking in confusion. Then, as she focuses on me, her drowsiness vanishes in an instant. "Wait… What happened? Why do you look so distressed? Are you okay?"
"Ah, just a bit of a headache, nothing much."
Mirayuki squints at me, unconvinced. "Uh-huh. Sure," she mutters, arms crossed. "Well, come in. I'll get some tea for you—something to help you relax."
"Thanks. I'd appreciate it."
