Chapter 64 - A date

The key to Serpentara.

If one looks at it with normal eyes, it's just a silver key with a carving of a serpent coiling around it. But under my special sight, it reveals its true nature: hundreds of Arcanum lines, cryptically inscribed in Serpent Tongue.

All the doors within Ariella's mansion are made of Ironbark, a rare and durable wood known for its resilience and ability to withstand powerful spells. A dimensional gate spell will be no problem. So, I insert the key into the lock of my room's door.

As the key approaches the lock, the serpent on it begins to move, altering its shape.

"Oh, fascinating." I remark. "So, Omni-fitting is one of the enchantments."

In other words, it's a key that can fit any lock, regardless of its design.

Click.

As expected, it fits perfectly.

I inhale, exhale deeply, fixing my necktie and suit to make sure everything's perfect.

"Alright, let's go."
