After picking up Yumi from the library and having some food at the ramen place, we head back to the tavern to rest since it's already nighttime. As always, the three of us spend a few minutes chit-chatting before going to bed.
"Jack, Sophia, what happened? You both seem tired today," Yumi comments.
"Ah, nothing, except that it's been such a long day, filling out paperwork at the Adventurer's Guild and practicing some enchantment arts," I reply, opening the window for some fresh air. The cool breeze feels refreshing after the long and stressful day we've had. I don't think it's a good idea to tell Yumi about the Basilisk Order and the archdemon, so I just make up some white lies.
"Yeah, and a lot of walking around too," Sophia adds.
"And what about you, Yumi? How was your day?" I change the subject quickly.
