Chapter 66 - Chapter Sixty-Six: Preparations Fit for Royalty

The sun was just peeking over the horizon, casting a golden glow over the expansive estate. Amelia stretched, feeling the warmth of the morning light on her face. She looked out of the window, expecting to see the usual tranquil gardens, but her jaw dropped at the sight before her.

"Alister! Ethan! What on earth is going on out there?" she called, unable to tear her eyes away from the spectacle.

Alister and Ethan appeared in the doorway, their faces alight with excitement. "Good morning, love," Alister said, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Do you like it?"

Amelia turned to face them, a mixture of astonishment and bewilderment on her face. "Like it? What have you done? The garden... it's enormous! And is that a diamond fountain?"

Ethan beamed, clearly proud of their work. "Yes, it is! We wanted to make sure the twins have the best of everything."

Amelia shook her head, unable to comprehend the sheer scale of their efforts. "This is beyond extravagant. How big is that garden?"

Alister grinned. "It's about the size of a hundred football fields. We wanted it to be special."

Amelia groaned, placing her palm against her forehead. "You two are hopelessly blinded by the gift of money, you know that?"

Alister and Ethan exchanged a look, then turned to her with matching grins. "We don't," they said in unison, clearly delighted with themselves.

Amelia sighed, trying to muster some semblance of patience. "Why did you think this was necessary?"

Alister's expression softened. "We just wanted to make sure our children have the most wonderful, magical place to grow up in."

Ethan nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, we thought they'd love it! Imagine playing in a garden this big, with all these beautiful things around."

Amelia couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm, even though she still thought it was over the top. "I appreciate your efforts, but a diamond fountain? Really?"

Alister chuckled. "We might have gotten a little carried away, but we wanted to show how much we love them, even before they're born."

Amelia shook her head again, but her smile widened. "Well, it's certainly impressive. I just hope they don't get too spoiled."

Ethan winked at her. "Spoiled? Never! They'll be loved and cherished, that's all."

"It would be amiracle if they don't..." Amelia wanted to say, but grew weak in front of their radiant smiles.Β

Amelia laughed, feeling her heart swell with love for these two men who were so eager to create a perfect world for their children. "Alright, let's go see this garden of yours up close."

They walked outside, and Amelia couldn't help but marvel at the sight. The garden was filled with every type of flower imaginable, their vibrant colors creating a breathtaking mosaic. Golden statues lined the pathways, each one more intricate than the last. And in the center, the diamond fountain sparkled in the sunlight, its crystal-clear water cascading down in a mesmerizing display.

Alister and Ethan watched her reaction closely, hoping for her approval. "Well?" Alister asked, his voice tinged with anticipation.

Amelia turned to them, her eyes wide with wonder. "It's... it's incredible. You both did an amazing job."

Ethan's face lit up with a triumphant smile. "See? We knew you'd love it."

Amelia shook her head, still in awe of the extravagance. "I love it, but I still think it's too much."

Alister pulled her into a gentle embrace. "Too much or not, it's done with love. And that's what matters most."

Amelia leaned into him, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. "You're right. As long as it's filled with love, that's all that truly matters."

As they walked through the garden, Amelia couldn't help but imagine the future. She saw their children running through the flowers, laughing and playing. She saw family picnics by the diamond fountain, and quiet moments of reflection beneath the golden statues. It was a beautiful vision, and despite her initial reservations, she felt a deep gratitude for the life they were building together.

They reached a particularly stunning section of the garden, where a large gazebo stood. It was adorned with delicate carvings and surrounded by blooming roses. Alister and Ethan had obviously put a lot of thought into every detail.

"This will be a perfect spot for family gatherings," Amelia said, her voice filled with emotion. "I can see us spending so much time here."

Ethan nodded, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "That's exactly what we hoped for. A place where we can all be together, enjoying life."

Alister squeezed her hand. "And it's not just for the twins. It's for all of us. A place to make memories."

Amelia felt tears welling up in her eyes. "You've both done something truly wonderful here. Thank you."

Ethan wrapped an arm around her shoulders, giving her a reassuring squeeze. "We're a family, Amelia. We do everything together."

They continued to explore the garden, each new discovery more impressive than the last. Amelia's initial skepticism gave way to genuine admiration. The garden was a testament to Alister and Ethan's love and dedication, not just to their children, but to their entire family.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the garden, they made their way back to the house. Amelia felt a sense of peace and happiness she hadn't felt in a long time. Despite the extravagance, she knew that every detail had been crafted with love and care.

Later that evening, as they sat together in the drawing room, Amelia couldn't help but reflect on the day's events. "You know," she said, looking at Alister and Ethan, "I was wrong to doubt you. You've created something truly magical."

Alister smiled, his eyes filled with love. "We did it for you, and for our children. We wanted to give you the best."

Ethan nodded, his expression serious. "We're a team, Amelia. And we'll always do whatever it takes to make our family happy."

Amelia felt a surge of gratitude and love for these two incredible men. "Thank you," she said softly. "Thank you for everything."

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts. Amelia felt a sense of contentment she hadn't felt in a long time.
