Chapter 64 - Chapter Sixty-Four: A Display of Skill

The sun hung high in the sky, casting its warm rays over the expansive training grounds of the estate. Alister and Ethan were already deep into their swordsmanship practice, the metallic clang of their blades ringing out with each clash. Sweat glistened on their foreheads, their faces set in determined concentration.

Amelia, having finished her morning tea, decided to take a stroll and watch her husband and Ethan train. As she approached the training grounds, she couldn't help but admire the sheer athleticism and grace with which they moved. Alister's muscles rippled under his shirt with each precise movement, and Ethan's agile form darted nimbly around him.

Standing at the edge of the training area, Amelia found herself mesmerized. "They're both so skilled," she thought, her heart swelling with pride. "But Alister... he's something else entirely."

Alister noticed her presence first, his eyes lighting up with a mixture of surprise and delight. "Amelia!" he called out, pausing mid-swing. "What brings you here?"

Ethan took the opportunity to catch his breath, wiping sweat from his brow. "Yes, Amelia, what a pleasant surprise!"

Amelia smiled, stepping closer. "I wanted to see how my two favorite men are doing. And I must say, you both look quite impressive."

Alister chuckled, sheathing his sword and walking over to her. "Well, I'm glad you think so. We've been practicing hard."

Ethan nodded, grinning. "Indeed. Alister's been pushing me to my limits."

Amelia's eyes sparkled with admiration. "It's wonderful to see you both so dedicated. But Alister, you truly are remarkable."

Alister's cheeks flushed slightly at her praise. "Thank you, love. It's important to stay sharp."

Ethan smirked, nudging Alister playfully. "Looks like someone's got an admirer."

Alister rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "Oh, hush. I'm just happy to have Amelia here."

Amelia laughed softly, her gaze lingering on Alister. "You know, watching you train reminds me of why I fell in love with you. Your strength, your skill... it's truly captivating."

Alister took her hand, kissing it gently. "And you remind me of why I strive to be the best. For you, and for our family."

Ethan cleared his throat, a teasing glint in his eye. "Alright, you two lovebirds. Let's not forget who's still standing here."

Amelia and Alister both laughed, the sound ringing out across the training grounds. "Sorry, Ethan," Amelia said, smiling warmly. "You know we appreciate you just as much."

Ethan feigned a dramatic sigh. "I suppose I'll forgive you both. But only because I'm in such a good mood."

Alister chuckled, his eyes never leaving Amelia's. "Come, sit with us for a while," he suggested, leading her to a nearby bench. "We could use a break anyway."

Amelia settled onto the bench, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. "I could get used to this," she mused, watching the two men she loved most in the world.

Alister and Ethan joined her, their conversation flowing easily. They spoke of the upcoming plans for the twins' arrival, the garden they would create, and the adventures they would embark on as a family.

As they talked, Amelia couldn't help but steal glances at Alister. His hair, damp with sweat, clung to his forehead in a way that made him look even more handsome. His eyes, so full of life and determination, seemed to sparkle in the sunlight.

"He's more than just a skilled swordsman," she thought, her heart swelling with love. "He's my partner, my confidant, my everything."

Alister noticed her gaze and smiled, his hand finding hers. "What are you thinking about, love?"

Amelia blushed, her eyes meeting his. "Just how lucky I am to have you."

Alister's smile widened, his thumb brushing gently over her knuckles. "I'm the lucky one, Amelia. You and our children are my greatest treasures."

Ethan, ever the tease, couldn't resist chiming in. "Alright, alright. Enough with the sweet talk. Let's get back to training, Alister. I need to keep improving if I'm going to keep up with you."

Alister laughed, standing up and giving Amelia one last kiss on the forehead. "Alright, Ethan. Let's see what you've got."

Amelia watched as they returned to their practice, her heart full. "This is my family," she thought, a smile spreading across her face. "And I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world."

The training resumed with renewed vigor, Alister and Ethan's movements fluid and precise. Amelia found herself captivated once more by Alister's grace and power. Every swing of his sword, every step he took, was a testament to his skill and dedication.

As the sun climbed higher in the sky, Amelia's thoughts wandered to the future. "Our children will grow up surrounded by such strength and love," she mused. "They'll learn from the best."

Lost in her thoughts, she was brought back to the present by the sound of Alister's voice. "Amelia! Are you still with us?"

She blinked, realizing she had been daydreaming. "Yes, sorry! I was just thinking about the future."

Ethan grinned, lowering his sword. "Dreaming about little warriors running around, are you?"

Amelia laughed, her heart light. "Something like that. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us."

Alister sheathed his sword, walking over to her with a proud smile. "Whatever it is, we'll face it together. As a family."

Ethan nodded, his expression serious for once. "Absolutely. We'll protect each other, no matter what."

Amelia's heart swelled with emotion as she looked at the two men before her. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "Thank you for everything."

Alister pulled her into a gentle embrace, his voice soft. "No need to thank us, love. We're in this together."

Ethan joined in the hug, his usually playful demeanor replaced with sincere warmth. "You're stuck with us, Amelia. There's no escaping it."

They laughed together, the sound echoing through the training grounds. In that moment, Amelia felt a sense of peace and happiness she hadn't known was possible. Surrounded by love and strength, she knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face them together.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the estate, Amelia, Alister, and Ethan made their way back to the house. Their conversation continued, full of laughter and love, as they walked hand in hand.
