My name is Alex. I have lived in this world for 17 years. My mother and father died when I was 14, so I live with my grandparents. I am still sad about it, but I try to take my mind off it by watching movies, TV shows, anime, and playing video games.
After I finish school, I go straight home so I can finish watching the Flash series. It isn't the best show, but I like it. Suddenly, the sky turns black, and I see lightning hit me, and I die.
I woke up in a room that looks like my room with a boy playing Mortal Kombat in the middle of it. He says to me, "Just wait a little. I will finish this round and then come tell you what is going on."
I wait, not because I want to, but because my body won't listen to me. After he wins the game, he turns his head to me and says, "I brought you here to do something for me and change the Flash universe to make it more interesting."
Is he telling me he killed me just to do that? I start to get angry, thinking of my grandparents and how sad they will be when they hear about my death.
"The truth is they won't hear about it. They died before you in a fire in the house," he says as he shows me a video of it happening.
I get sad, knowing what he said is true. "Even so, you did kill me without any good reason. I want some kind of compensation for this."
Okay, I am going to give you three wishes now. Shut up," he said with a creepy smile on his face.
'What is that smile for, anyway?'
"First, I wish to have the super soldier serum. Second wish is for the Speedforce. Third wish is to get bitten by two radioactive spiders - one with ice powers and the second like Miles Morales' spider."
The moment I finish saying my wishes, I hear him say, "I was going to give you those wishes anyway. Now, goodbye and make things interesting for me."
I say to him, "Fuck you," before I pass out.
When I wake up, I find myself in that night that changed everything. I feel a strong headache as I get some memories from this life, and I understand that I'm in the body of Barry Allen's little brother. We have a good relationship with him as we help each other. We are both nerds who are smart, but unlike him, I like to exercise. So if someone tries to bully him, I try to help him out if I am there.
Our mom says, "Barry, Alex, run, get away!"
The Flash runs to us and takes us away. He drops Barry off and takes me to another place, asking, "Who are you?"
