Dorian tried to remember how far Sis Molly's place was from there but he realized that it was pretty far away so he quickly portaled to some place he saw on the way which was about a kilometer away from his location before the policemen arrived and caught him there but if they did, he'd have to kill them all because they definitely wouldn't listen to his explanation and would probably lock him up first
The police arrived here right after Dorian's portal closed and one of them noticed it then asked the leading officer "Sir, did you see that?"
The leading officer was puzzled as he looked at his subordinate "See what?"
Before the man could reply, another subordinate shouted "Oh my God!! Ahh!"
The others looked at where she was pointing to and sucked in a large breath of air when they saw the two bodies
The leading officer tried to gain his composure as he examined the duo "Well, the one with it's.. uhm.. heart carved out fits the description of who that girl told us is named Derek but this other guy doesn't look like a kid"
A subordinate spoke up "Even if he were the one and she just mistook his stature because of the dark, the injuries do not even form a related story"
The leading officer nodded with his hand on his chin in deep thought
Another subordinate remarked "Maybe, someone with deep hatred for Derek followed him here and killed both of them?"
The leading officer stood up "Either way, we must investigate this case because whoever did this is a murderer and he must be arrested, take the bodies back for examination, we might find fingerprints we can use to find this person"
Dorian didn't realize how late it was until he checked the time on his phone when he appeared in the room 'one in the morning? How long did I chase that guy!'
Someone suddenly switched on the lights which spooked Dorian and he fell onto the chair behind him
Dorian sighed in relief "It's just you"
Paul wanted to get angry but he remembered that it was his fault Dorian left in the first place so he said softly "I'm sorry"
Dorian raised an eyebrow "For what? Not letting me eat you up?"
Paul's ears went red and he pouted then looked at Dorian with his hands folded "How can you be so naughty minded in this situation?"
Dorian shrugged "I guess it's because I didn't leave because of you"
Paul came over "Then why did you?, me and Lan were worried sick about you, he just slept like half an hour ago"
Dorian leaned against the wall "Sorry for not telling you guys before I left"
Paul had tears in his eyes "Y-you didn't even take your phone, we couldn't reach you"
Dorian got up and hugged Paul then gently caressed his hair "I'm sorry okay so please don't cry"
Paul sniffed and wiped the tears that wanted to come out "Okay I'm not crying so let go of me"
Dorian asked "Why?"
Paul gasped and pulled Dorian back "Ian, you reek of blood a-and.. your clothes!? They're stained with blood, what happened?"
Dorian recalled and wanted to take a shower then change into something else when Paul pulled him back "You have a tendency of pulling me back every time I want to go do something, what? Can't bear to be apart from me?"
And everything Paul wanted to say flew off in that instant so he pushed Dorian away and sat on the chair grudgingly "Shoo"
Dorian took a bath and changed into a dark purple tank top and black shorts
When he was done, he looked at the sulky Paul who was glaring at the floor
Dorian chuckled as he walked towards him "Wanna stare a hole down through the floor? Last time I remembered, it was Lilac who had laser eyes"
Paul raised his head to look at him "Ready to tell me where you went? Or did you go find another way to satisfy your needs?"
Dorian was slightly irritated by that sentence and grabbed Paul's chin aggressively "What did you say?"
Paul looked away and replied to him with a scoff
Dorian pinned Paul's hands to the wall and he took his lips by force
Paul tried to struggle but it was futile and Dorian's tongue invaded his mouth which made him widened his eyes
Paul's will was broken down by Dorian's forced but passionate kissing and he returned the passion
Dorian released Paul because they had to breathe and Paul's face was flushed with his lips slightly swollen and totally redder than usual
Dorian grinned when he saw Paul with his eyes closed and lips slightly opened "You look like you want more"
Paul covered his face in embarrassment and stood up "You're bad"
Dorian smirked "Bad at kissing?"
Paul looked down all fidgety as he pulled on the edge of his shorts "N-no, not that"
Dorian chuckled and carried Paul then sat on the chair and placed Paul on his lap "Then what am I bad at?"
Paul bit his lips and didn't reply then Dorian teased "Continue doing that and I'll kiss you again"
Paul lightly punched Dorian and went to sit on the bed "You still haven't told me where you went"
Dorian then explained everything that happened but he left out the fact that he carved someone's heart out
Paul was amazed "You can now combine both of your abilities? That's great"
Dorian took out the small straw bag "I searched the guy who followed us and found this on him and it seems he has an ability like us but it's a shadow type"
Paul was stumped "Another ability user? How?"
Dorian shrugged "I don't know either but I wanna see what's in this straw bag but there's no zip or opening. I tried to open it on the way back, even tried tearing it apart but it wouldn't bulge"
Paul thought of something "Maybe it's a blood sucking weapon?"
Dorian rolled his eyes "It looks like a bag made out of straws no more like a ball of straws"
Paul pouted "Then I'll drop my blood on it to check"
Dorian immediately refuted that idea "No, I'll do it"
Dorian used a blade to cut his thumb as he dropped his blood on the bag and to his surprise, it glowed so Paul curiously came over
The bag stopped glowing but the duo were puzzled and Paul wondered "What's this?"
They both looked at the folded paper on the table so Dorian opened it "It's written in Traditional Chinese characters, it means One.. Time.. Long. Distance.. Teleportation.. Scroll?"
Paul and Dorian looked at each other in the eyes, surprise evident in their eyes
Dorian folded the scroll back then kept it in his hair and opened his laptop
Paul asked "Why did you keep it in your hair? What if it falls out?"
Dorian chuckled as he typed "Try to search for it"
Paul rolled his eyes and ruffled Dorian's hair expecting it to fall out but nothing dropped which astounded him so he ruffled his hair with more force
Dorian grabbed both his hands "Okay that's enough, my scalp hurts"
Paul looked at him in shock "I couldn't find it"
Dorian grinned as he brought the paper out of his hair then placed it back "It's a pretty useless skill unless I want to keep something small sized. If what I want to keep is longer than my hair or wider than half of my hair width, it wouldn't work"
Paul was amazed "It sounds pretty cool. Is that why you got a small sized phone?"
Dorian nodded and turned to face his laptop then Paul asked "What are you doing now?"
Dorian replied "Searching for how to use it and where to find scrolls"
Paul asked "How? Google wouldn't have that answer"
Dorian shrugged "It doesn't need to. I have my ways"
Paul was stunned "You're gonna hack Google?"
Dorian raised an eyebrow "Your assumptions are not on point. I want to search on Dark web, even if the web doesn't have, people there will probably so we just have to wait- oh someone replied me already"
Dorian read the reply and said "He said these stuff is from ancient times and to find more, we have to find ancient ruins more specifically the undug ones"
Paul exclaimed "Like the one we are supposed to go to here in DC"
Dorian inquired "We should leave tomorrow then, right?"
Paul pondered as he bent down while trying to reason how they would do that "Aunt Gaeul, Uncle Wilson and Bro Jack will go to work but Sis Molly and Sister Lao will be home because this is Sis Molly's hotel and she can give orders from up here unless there is a very important guest she has to attend to. Sister Lao won't let us leave the hotel alone because she would assume that we are going to cause trouble if left in DC"
Dorian thought then inquired "Maybe if we tell Lane to tell Bobae to make Sister Lao take her and Lala out to play?"
Paul shook his head "It's more feasible if he tells her to follow her mum to work tomorrow, she is a big fashion designer with her own office where Baebae could play around"
Dorian nodded "Then what do we do about Sister Lao?"
Paul looked up with pursed lips "Convince her somehow I guess"
Dorian glanced at Paul's lips then closed his laptop "Let's go to bed, we can give that a try then"
For some reason, that sentence had a different meaning when it passed through Paul's ears which made him blush as he looked to the ground while drawing circles on the floor "T-try what?"
Dorian raised his eyebrows as he got onto the bed "Try convincing Sister Lao, what the heck are you thinking?"
Paul blushed and got under the covers "N-nothing"
Dorian smirked at Paul who was a blushing mess "And you call me naughty minded"
Paul hit his shoulder lightly as he turned his back to him and mumbled "It's not my f- ahh"
Dorian had groped his ass again and before he could say anything, Dorian let go and hugged his waist "Go to sleep, naughty boy"
Paul pouted "You're the naughty one"
The next day, the police had to call that girl to make a statement on what she saw and experienced yesterday
The lady said "I was going home from late study sessions at school but I didn't know that one of my coursemates was stalking me and he dragged into an alley when no one was watching so I screamed for help and suddenly, a kid with mask that covered his whole head and face appeared so I was desperate for anyone's help so I called out to him then suddenly a force held me and took me away from Derek to the kid's side. I was stunned and the kid asked me to run away which I hurriedly did, I was worried for the teenager so I came here to ask for help"
The policeman told her "He did more than help, he killed Derek, carved the guy's heart out"
The lady gasped in fright "W-what?"
The leading officer from the night before came over "He killed another guy too maybe the person saw him when he was doing that"
The leading officer sat down "We couldn't find anything on the sword or the knife on the ground except the fingerprints and information of the people he killed. Except for Derek who has a criminal record, the other guy was a completely innocent man whose wife and child died last year in a plane accident"
The leading officer faced the lady "Did you spot anything about that teenager that could help us track him? Skin colour? Eye colour? Hair colour? Maybe voice? Did he touch you?"
The lady shook her head "No, he was completely covered, I couldn't see anything but black on him"
The leading officer sighed and let her go
The lady scoffed as she left the station 'Why would I help you find the boy when he helped me get rid of that stupid guy. Yes, I saw his eye colour and skin colour but so what? You still can't find him from that hehe"
Lane was surprised when the duo told him what happened to Dorian the night before "Seriously?? You experienced all of that in one night? So you were right about someone following us but another ability user, we gotta tell the elders about this"
Paul shook his head "That would only get them worked up"
Lane sighed "But how are we going to convince Sister Lao"
Before breakfast, Lane went to convince Bobae to follow her mum to work and he succeeded in that one
After breakfast, Molly was still around so they thought to go convince her instead
Somehow somehow with words, Paul was able to convince to let them go but she said "You boys better be back before dinner and don't get lost"
Lane smiled "Sis Molly, we can't get lost with GPS"
The trio quickly changed and left the apartment before Yilao caught them and didn't let them go
When the three boys left, Yilao came to the living room after changing Lilac's diaper "Ehnn are the boys in there room again?"
Molly shook her head "No they went to play"
Yilao asked "Downstairs, right?"
Molly replied "No at an amusement park, then a so called Lazer game and a hike on the mountains"
Yilao stood up in shock "You allowed them to go into DC on their own without adult supervision?"
Molly nodded "Yeah, they're not kids anymore so they don't need someone to follow them around"
Yilao facepalmed "They're uncouth troublemakers. You shouldn't have given them permission"
Molly pulled her to sit "They'll be fine. If they get in trouble, Ian would just portal the three of them away"
Yilao sighed "As long as they don't get in trouble with the law again"
Paul was wearing a rosy red hoodie and cocoa brown straight jeans because they would enter the forest while Lane wore a blue long sleeve polo shirt and blue tracker shorts and Dorian was putting on a dark purple armless roundneck and black jeans
Lane chuckled "Paw dressed as if he's going to Greenland"
Paul pouted "We're going to enter a forest and I cannot have any of those bugs crawling on my skin"
Lane laughed and Dorian walked past the duo "Come on, you two"
After about half an hour of walking in the forest passing by many tourists, Paul asked "So do we know where this temple stuff is located because it seems like we've been walking around for ages"
Lane looked at his phone "It's only been thirty minutes"
Paul nodded "Like I said, ages"
Paul then looked at Dorian who was looking around "We only searched it using the latitude blah blah on the map then we got that it's here but underground so how are we gonna find an underground temple? Especially one that is abandoned and is also probably being looked for by other people"
Dorian shrugged "Well I don't know but we gotta try"
Paul sighed as he held his forehead "Maybe we should return the map and tail them?"
Dorian placed a finger on his chin "A good idea but.. we don't know who that is"
Lane eyes lit up "To the centre of the forest!"
Paul rolled his eyes "And why?"
Lane replied "Well in the movies, if they go to the forest for an adventure, they always find it in the centre"
Paul pouted and leaned against a tree "Yeah we definitely ain't gonna get anywhere"
Dorian spoke up "I ordered a Metallic Ground Search Steel which I stuck under my shoes when we headed out. It is literally meant for searching underground buildings or ruins whatever something like that"
Lane was stunned so was Paul who raised an eyebrow then Lane asked "Where did you even get those? And why didn't you tell us sooner?"
Dorian raised his leg up so they could see the steel fitted under his shoe "Well, I'm not sure they would work since I got them on Dark Web and besides, not everything on Dark Web is real, some people are very misleading but I decided to try this out today"
Paul remarked "So you saying, we're gonna be walking till those things give you a beep or something like that?"
Dorian shrugged "I would fall down from the metallic shock that would be sent up my body but I can probably handle that"
Lane asked with worry "Would it hurt?"
Dorian shook his head "Nah would just probably feel goosebumps, can't be that serious"
Paul pulled on Dorian's hand "Will you be fine?"
Dorian nodded "Sure, people that fall from it probably have low iron"
