"Now, let's get you back to Alexandra and see what she thinks," I said, leading Cratos back towards the botanical gardens. The transformation was astounding; gone was the disheveled and unkempt man, replaced by someone who, with a bit of confidence, could certainly catch Alexandra's eye.
As we approached the fountain, Alexandra was still there, now engaged in animated conversation with a group of friends. When she looked up and saw Cratos, her eyes widened in surprise.
"Cratos?" she said, her voice tinged with disbelief. "Is that really you?"
Cratos gave a nervous smile and a small, awkward wave. "Hey, Alexandra. Do I look... okay?"
Alexandra stood up and walked over, her friends whispering and glancing our way. She inspected Cratos from head to toe, clearly impressed. "I have to admit, you look a lot better than before. A lot."
Cratos blushed, clearly pleased with her reaction. "So, would you maybe consider going out with me now?"
