The first light of dawn began to filter through the heavy curtains, casting a gentle glow over the room. I awoke to the soft rustling of the morning breeze, my mind still clouded with the remnants of sleep. Beside me, Seraphina was still asleep, her expression peaceful and relaxed.
I slowly extricated myself from her embrace, trying not to wake her. The events of the previous night lingered in my thoughts, especially the encounter with the giant spider. I had so many questions, but I didn't want to disturb Seraphina's rest just yet.
Quietly, I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom to freshen up. The cool water splashing on my face helped to clear the lingering fog of sleep from my mind. As I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't help but wonder what other strange occurrences might be in store for me.
