Before, Sakamoto Sakura assigned the UPDJ to investigate about the "Kage No Shakai" organization.
After he asked them to execute the investigation, the UPDJ cops immediately report this case to the chief of the UPDJ, Masato Katsuragi.
Masato Katusragi sighs as he heard their report, because these days there's a lot of national cases that have to be handle by the UPDJ.
Masato Katsuragi then touches his head and says, "Hah. These days, there's a lot of heavy cases that threatened this country. When all of this will end?"
Then he opens the case report file and read the detail information about the case.
After he finished reading the file, he gives a thought, "Oh, I see? This is really an odd case, hmm, who should I assigned this case to?"
He thinks and after for a moment, he finally know a cop that would accept to take this case.
And that cop's name is Daichi Sato.
A 55 year old HPDJ cop who always interested on strange cases.
He had worked for the HPDJ since he was 30 years old.
He had solved a lot of strange cases and bring the culprit to justice.
He is intelligent, yet weird.
Because he always believe that there's a conspiracy in every crime.
Everyone doesn't believe on his speculation, but it turns out to be true.
That's why he's been called, "The Great Investigator" or "The Speculation Master" or even "Sherlock-sama".
This man always win in an argument.
And he usually accepts an assignment that he's interested in.
Everyone think of him as a weird man with a unique type of thinking.
He's well respected on the HPDJ.
But sadly 10 years ago, he divorced with his wife and no longer live with his family.
Yet he still visit his family to spend time with his beloved daughter.
He did that, so that his bond with his daughter would remain close.
And now, once again he received a strange case.
Masato called him to his office.
As he arrived, he brought a young man with him.
The young man's name is Haruto Fumio, he is still a 29 year old rookie and he's assigned to be Daichi's partner.
He is good at observation, but he's careless.
Then Masato says, "It's been a while, Daichi-san."
Daichi replies, "Yeah, it's been a while too, chief."
Masato says, "How's your wife and daughter?"
Daichi replies, "Well, my wife still hates me and my daughter now had grown to a beautiful woman. Her beauty is very similar to my wife when she was young. And now, she is in one of the greatest college of Japan."
Masato says, "Wow!, congrats to her."
Daichi replies, "Yep, she is smart. An apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Hahahahaha!!!!!"
Masato also laughs.
Meanwhile Haruto just smiles.
Daichi then says, "Alright so what kind of case that you want me to handle this time?"
Masato says, "Okay, this time, I assigned you and your partner to investigate about a strange organization called Kage No Shakai."
Daichi replies, "Kage No Shakai?"
Masato says, "Kage No Shakai is a classified organization that operated illegally on the underworld for many years and no one knows their existence."
Haruto replies, "An illegal organization?"
Masato says, "Yes, there's a possibility that this organization is the one that caused the famous idol, Sakura Aihara in danger on her concert."
Haruto replies, "SAKURA AIHARA!!!!!, there's a relation to that incident."
Masato says, "Because of that incident, Aihara's father, Sakamoto Sakura asked the UPDJ to find out about this organization. So your assignment is to….."
Daichi replies, "I understood, our assignment is to find out about this strange organization, right. Ha!!, so that's the reason why you picked me for this case."
Masato then says, "That's right."
After that, Daichi and Haruto stand up.
Masato says, "Good luck, Sherlock-sama."
Daichi smiles and replies, "Leave it to me."
After that, Daichi and Haruto goes outside the UPDJ central base.
Daichi takes out his cigar and smokes.
Then, Daichi chuckles and says, "Interesting."
