Charmel and her friends were chatting amongst themselves in their classroom, enjoying a break between classes. Their teacher, Stussy Momo, suddenly appeared in the doorway, her usual composed demeanor in place.
"Students," Stussy Momo announced, "I have an important announcement to make."
The students immediately quieted down, all eyes turning to their teacher. Charmel shifted in her seat, curious about what Stussy Momo had to say. "As many of you may already know, the annual sports festival will be taking place next week," Stussy Momo continued, her voice carrying a note of excitement. "Each class will be participating in several events. I'm counting on all of you to put your best effort forward and represent our class honorably."
Excited murmurs filled the classroom at the announcement. Charmel glanced at her friends, seeing the eagerness in their eyes. The sports festival was a highly anticipated event, one that brought a sense of competition and fun to the school.
Chika's expression lit up, a smile spreading across her face. "I joined the cheerleading team," she said, her voice filled with enthusiasm. Charmel raised an eyebrow, her surprise evident. "Cheerleading? Really? I didn't know you were into that kind of stuff."
"Yeah," Chika admitted, a blush creeping on her cheeks. "It kinda just happened. The squad needed more members, and I thought it would be a fun way to support everyone during the event."
"how about you Leo?" Leo shrugged, his expression a little sheepish. "I joined the track team," he admitted. "I'm not the best runner, but I thought it would be a good way to stay in shape, you know?"
Charmel chuckled, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Hey, I like the way you think. Maybe I should start whispering some creepy tales during your races to give you an extra adrenaline boost."
Charmel chuckled, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Hey, I like the way you think. Maybe I should start whispering some creepy tales during your races to give you an extra adrenaline boost."
Leo's face paled a little. "Uh, I appreciate the offer, but I think I'll pass on that one," he said, his voice tinged with nervousness. "I don't think I need any extra encouragement to run faster." Charmel laughed at Leo's reaction, finding amusement in his unease. "Aww, come on, it'll be fun! Just imagine the look on the other competitors' faces when they see you sprinting past them like you're running from a pack of zombies."
Kai joined in the conversation, a smirk on his face. "Yeah, I can already picture it. You'll be sprinting so fast, you'll probably set a new school record."
"You guys are evil," Leo protested, though there was a hint of a smile on his lips. "I just need to focus on the race, not worry about being chased by imaginary zombies."
Chika chimed in, offering her support to Leo. "Yeah, don't listen to these two. They're just trying to mess with you." Charmel smirked, sticking out her tongue playfully at Leo and Chika. "You guys are being such scaredy-cats. It's just a little friendly teasing."
"By the way Kai, what kind sport did you join?"
Kai leaned back in his seat, a confident smile on his face. "I'm trying out for the basketball team," he said. "I've been playing since grade school, so I think I have a pretty good shot." Charmel raised an eyebrow, impressed by Kai's response. "Oh, a basketball player, huh? That's pretty cool. Maybe you'll be the one bringing glory to our class this year."
"That's the plan," Kai said, grinning. "I've been practicing hard, and my aim has gotten a lot better. I'm feeling pretty good about our chances of winning." Charmel smiled, admiring Kai's determination and confidence. She had no doubt he would give it his all in the sports festival.
"Well, I hope you get picked for the team," Charmel said. "I'd love to see you bring home that gold medal for us."
"How about you Lila?" Lila, who had been sitting quietly next to Aaron, glanced up at Charmel. "Oh, me?" She paused for a moment, a thoughtful expression on her face. "I joined the photography club. I'll be the one taking pictures and documenting the festival for our school's newsletter."
Charmel's eyebrows rose in surprise. She had expected Lila to join a more active sport, not something like photography. "The photography club, huh? That's pretty cool. I bet you'll capture some awesome shots during the festival."
"Aaron?"
Aaron, who had been quietly listening to the conversation, spoke up. "Oh, I decided to try out for the tennis team. It's a good way to practice my hand-eye coordination and reflexes."
As Charmel continued interviewing her classmates about their choice of sport for the upcoming sports festival, she realized that each of them had picked something different. Some were into sports, some into more artistic pursuits like Cheerleading and photography, and some had gone for more relaxed options like Leo. It seemed that her classmates had quite a diverse range of interests and talents.
"Looks like we have quite the diverse group here," Charmel said, grinning. "With all these different sports and events going on, this sports fest is going to be packed with excitement."
Charmel smirked, her eyes glinting mischievously. "Oh, me? I decided to join something unique and exciting this year."
"it's called sport for laziest" Charmel chuckled, enjoying the surprise on her classmates' faces. "You guessed it. I've signed up for the laziest sport known to man."
"There no sport for laziest" Leo's comment sparked further laughter from the group. Charmel feigned offense, placing a hand over her heart.
"Hey, give me some credit. I've come up with my own special event," she retorted jokingly. "The Laziest Sport Fest will be a thing in the future, mark my words."
"The Laziest Sport Fest, huh?" Kai chuckled. "Sounds like your kind of event, Charmel. I can already picture you napping on the field while everyone else is busting their butts off."
"Shut up" Kai chuckled, amused by Charmel's feigned anger. "Just stating the facts," he said, raising his hands in mock surrender.
Chika chimed in, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You know, Charmel, we should hold a contest for the laziest person in our class. You'd probably take the first prize without any effort."
