Lynn was naturally pleased with Bethel's plan. Resolving the issue between Klein and Mr. Door without conflict was the best outcome for him.
If he had to choose between the two, Lynn would have had to apologize to Bethel and then firmly support Klein with various buffs. He was being very gentle; otherwise, he wouldn't just be adding buffs but directly intervening.
For example, if Amon suddenly appeared before Klein's promotion to Sequence 1, Lynn would definitely show him what a sandbag-sized fist feels like.
Lynn didn't intend to turn Klein into a hothouse flower. He would provide Klein with various buffs and guide him through battles, but only when the combat power was balanced. He resolutely opposed situations like in the original story where King of Angels Amon toyed with a Sequence 3 Fool.
Such a huge disparity in combat power would only result in one side crushing the other. Although it could train one's mind, Lynn deemed it unnecessary.
For example, he himself couldn't outsmart Amon, but that didn't stop him from pummeling Amon to the ground.
Klein was not unintelligent. With enhanced power, full information, and proper training, he could become a qualified Lord of Mysteries without undergoing such suffering.
'Speaking of Amon, where has he been? It's been a while without his chaos, and my hands are itching...' As Lynn's thoughts wandered, his fingers moved unconsciously, and his gaze fell on Klein, whose expression was clearly one of shock.
"Contact Mr. Door?" Klein was taken aback. Then he looked at the Angel of Secrets, seemingly realizing something, and asked, "If there's a stable way to contact Mr. Door, why don't you have him directly manage the Abraham family through the Master Key? What's the unnecessary trouble?"
Klein had thought Mr. Door didn't personally manage the Abraham family because it would be very difficult to contact them, allowing only occasional messages. But if the Master Key could contact Mr. Door, even with the full moon condition, Mr. Door could manage the Abraham family himself.
If so, why have him take care of and manage the Abraham family?
"Bethel is not currently suited to establish a deeper connection with the Abraham family, due to the little trouble I mentioned," Lynn, controlling the Angel of Secrets, sighed and countered, "Do you know why the Full Moon Whispers exist?"
"Huh?" Klein was puzzled. "Isn't it because Mr. Door's state is too poor, unable to control himself, so even his cries for help cause serious trouble for the Abraham family?"
"Help...," the Angel of Secrets sneered with a hint of ridicule, continuing, "The Abraham family doesn't hear cries for help during the full moon."
'What? Not cries for help? But Roselle's diary said...' Klein felt genuinely confused. He believed the angel would not speak without reason. Since the angel said those weren't cries for help, then Mr. Door probably wasn't calling for help.
'But that means I misled Miss Fors yesterday in the gray fog...' Klein felt a bit embarrassed remembering his words to Miss Fors. Despite the embarrassment, curiosity arose, and he couldn't help but ask, "If it's not cries for help, what is Mr. Door's call during the full moon?"
"It's no longer important," the Angel of Secrets shook his head. Lynn couldn't tell Klein about the Outer Gods now, but he could explain Bethel's previous condition differently.
Thus, the Angel of Secrets said, "Have you heard of the Primordial Moon?"
He couldn't casually mention the Mother Goddess of Depravity, but the Primordial Moon was a notorious evil god in this world, like the Bitch Tree. Knowing about it wouldn't cause corruption.
"I've read about the Primordial Moon in the 'Book of Secrets.' It seems to be an evil god?" Klein hesitated. He had read the 'Book of Secrets' given by Sharron, which had many references to the Primordial Moon, though it didn't describe its exact nature. Klein could only guess it might be an evil god.
"Indeed, it can be called a powerful evil god," the Angel of Secrets nodded. Outer Gods could be classified as evil gods since they were considered malevolent to humanity.
"Bethel suffered misfortune due to this evil god, was corrupted, and went mad. Only after re-establishing contact with me did he regain clarity," the Angel of Secrets said calmly.
This explanation was valid since corruption wasn't exclusive to Outer Gods. Any high-sequence being could theoretically cause corruption. In the original story, the highest corruption klein faced early on wasn't from the Outer Gods but from the True Creator.
Such non-essential descriptions wouldn't cause corruption to listeners.
"So Mr. Door caused the Full Moon Whispers due to corruption by an evil god?" Klein was astonished but then felt a sudden realization.
Lynn didn't correct Klein's misconception. The truth would be revealed someday, but it wasn't urgent now.
So he controlled his divine avatar to say, "Don't worry. Bethel's corruption is under control. Although it might still erupt, the gray fog's isolation ensures even the Primordial Moon can't corrupt you through the Master Key."
"So that's why I'm the most suitable person..." Klein felt he understood completely, "Only the Fool can communicate with Mr. Door without fear of corruption."
Ordinary members of the Abraham family might get corrupted by the Primordial Moon through the corrupted Mr. Door.
Corruption isn't like a plague that spreads easily, it needs a medium. A god corrupting ordinary Beyonders through a medium is too simple.
'No, child, you're mistaken. I hadn't thought of that...' Lynn internally retorted but controlled his divine avatar to continue:
"You can talk more with Bethel. If there's any knowledge you don't understand, ask him. He's a good teacher. At least in the Seer, Marauder, and Apprentice pathways, you won't find a better teacher."
Lynn was truthful. If someone knew more about the Secrets of these three pathways, they might surpass Bethel. But in terms of reliability and being a good teacher, Bethel was the best, possibly matched only by Pallez Zoroast.
As for Bethel himself, whether he was willing to be this teacher—of course, he was.
