Chapter 184 - Chapter 185: Klein Advances to Magician

"Huh!" Medici glanced at him and let out a mocking laugh before saying, "As long as I achieve the status of Dual Pathway True God based on the Red Priest, I naturally won't turn into a woman."

"Are you sure? But I heard that if you get close to the City of Calamity, you'll start to feminize," Lynn said, pinching his chin and recalling the original content.

Lynn wasn't really expecting Medici to turn into a woman. He knew Medici was a pure man at heart, so he used this to provoke him.

"Once I officially become the Red Priest, there will naturally be no such hidden danger," Medici took another drag on his cigarette, appearing confident.

"Alright then, good luck," Lynn said. He respected and blessed Medici, then yawned and assessed his state, saying, "I've said everything I needed to. I'll go back to rest. If there's anything you need, I'll contact you by your honorable name— You should be able to use the power of the Red Priest's uniqueness by now!"

Since Medici had recovered to the level of a Weather Warlock, it was natural that he wouldn't stay underground as he had before.

But Lynn didn't care what Medici planned to do, whether he intended to return to the side of the True Creator or fool someone else. Lynn only cared that Medici would help him when needed.

After a pause, Lynn added, "By the way, if Amon or Adam give you trouble, you can come to me for help."

Lynn didn't avoid directly mentioning Adam's name anymore. He had already met him, though not in this era. Lynn had snatched 0-08 and contacted Medici. Someone probably had been peeping around the corner.

Lynn wasn't afraid of Adam, but Amon was troublesome. Not that he feared him, but Amon was a nuisance. Without Mr. Door by his side, Amon's intrusion would disturb his peaceful life with his cat.

However, if Amon really became a problem, Lynn wouldn't mind enjoying the joy of beating a little raven while raising a cat.

"Instead of worrying about me, you should worry about yourself. Use your power sparingly, lest you lose your humanity and turn into a real monster," Medici said, his tone as mocking as ever.

"Don't worry, I have a sense of proportion," Lynn said, opening a space door and waving at Medici, "Goodbye, Medici."

"Goodbye, Sotos."

The Loen royal family was unaware that their plan to become gods had already caught the attention of two angels, and not ordinary ones but those at the top tier.

Meanwhile, after telling Lynn the story of his past, Klein returned to 15 Minx Street.

Despite his confused and conflicted mind, Klein suppressed his emotions and wrote his application to advance to Sequence 7 Magician overnight. He submitted it to the Evernight Church early the next morning.

The Evernight Church was surprised by Klein's quick application for advancement. But as Klein had guessed, despite the surprise, the church quickly approved his application.

That afternoon, Klein was summoned to the underground of St. Samuel Cathedral, where he drank the Magician potion under the witness of the Sword of the Goddess, Crestet Cesimir.

The Magician potion looked as splendid as the Clown potion but tasted just as bad. If Klein hadn't been mentally prepared, he might have spat it out because of the terrible taste.

However, the potion had no pleasant flavors, with most being inversely proportional to their appearance.

Since Klein had fully digested the Clown potion, his advancement went smoothly. But even so, he felt the increasing difficulty of the process.

'Even with the perfect digestion of the Clown potion, it was this challenging. No wonder those Beyonders who don't know the acting method can only advance with time,' Klein thought, sympathizing with the Nighthawks who usually took years to reach Sequence 7

Crestet Cesimir, seeing Klein's successful advancement, sighed in relief.

He was there to assess Klein's potion digestion and ensure no lies about the digestion progress, as well as to oversee the advancement to prevent any mishaps.

Though not many failed at the Sequence 7 stage, it wasn't rare either. Despite believing in Klein's potential, he had to be cautious.

Fortunately, the advancement went smoothly.

"Congratulations, Klein. From today, you are a mid-sequence Beyonder. Welcome officially to the Red Gloves," Cesimir said with a smile. He then couldn't help but add, "Honestly, I didn't expect you to advance so quickly. I thought it would take another two months. You truly are a genius."

Klein's advancement speed impressed Cesimir, making him understand why the Goddess paid so much attention to Klein. It wasn't just because he was favored by the Angel of Secrets, but also because Klein was a genuine genius.

Feeling a bit embarrassed by the praise, Klein humbly smiled and replied, "I was just lucky, I'm not really a genius."

He attributed his swift digestion of the Clown potion partly to luck. Without the script from the Angel fellow, Klein wouldn't have grasped the essence of the Clown and digested the potion so quickly.

'Thinking about it, maybe someone did it on purpose,' Klein muttered internally, glancing at Cesimir. He sighed slightly in his heart.

Before, Klein had a faint hope that he wasn't under special attention from the Evernight Goddess. But now, that hope was completely gone.

He understood that a normal Sequence 7 advancement application wouldn't be approved so quickly. It usually took days, especially with such rapid potion digestion. Multiple reviews were common, and Crestet Cesimir's personal involvement was highly unusual.

These special treatments clearly indicated that the church was closely monitoring him.
