Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Wednesday, 1:34 P.M…

Amidst the darkness of the isolated land, under the coldness of the mourning moon, a man was seen on patrol, beating around the freezing weather. It seemed like the cluster of clouds came down for a tour, hiding the sight of the soldier to see any further.

As if smoke coming out of a blasted bomb, mist floated above the trees, giving a burnt smell from boiling water.

The only companion that replaced the lonesome weather was the blinking ear-ins, helping the soldier never fail to do his duty, by reporting the situation to the control room every now and then.

It might be him, who had chosen the destiny to guard his country by working his fingers to the bone, but no man in right mind, might come forward to watch over that jinxed piece of land, where no means of lifeforms was seen for a country mile.

Even though he looked broad and macho, his face seemed a bit pale not because of the foggy weather, but because of the large dark pits on the ground, that radiated yellow mist above it.

More than those pits, the presence of hollow dens threatened him, which seemed more dark and dense, emitting a peculiar sound from within it, haunting the land.

From the moment he was left alone in that eerie landscape, all he did was to curse down all the superiors, for being heartless enough, leaving someone all alone, being aware of the pitfalls.

[ THIS IS JONATHAN REPORTING FROM LANDSCAPE 004]

[ SITUATION IS CALM]

[ TAKE CARE OF THE SURVEILLANCE I'M UP FOR REST AT THE WATCHTOWER]

Getting back no further replies from the control tream, Jonathan reclined his back for a moment, when something peculiar grabbed his eyes.

Unfortunately, he had to spot something right after his hip rested for a moment, that too, in a weather, which didn't allow him to get a clear view, of even the tallest of the trees, standing wide ahead.

It was all one such groan that passed through his ears, he stood there frozen at the tower, as if a fish acting dead, from getting caught from the predator.

Within a blink of his eyes, he saw a massive grey figure escape from one of the dens, shocking him to the core.

Not able to use his gun without orders from the higher ups, he struggled all alone fearing the safety of the citizens.

With courage, he took his ear- ins and whispered,

[ALERT…]

[ALERT…]

[CAPTURED SOMETHING MOVING OUT FROM THE DEN AT THE NORTHEAST]

[ THE PHYSIQUE SEEMED LARGE AND GREY, NON-IDENTIFIABLE SPECIES]

[PLEASE DO PASS THE STATEMENT TO THE ASSOCIATION ]

[ I REPEAT AGAIN]

[ EMERGENCY ENSURE PEOPLE'S SAFETY NEAR LANDSCAPE 004]

----

The soldier reported with a pant, his body shivered cause of no reply from the other side.

He dropped to the floor, checked the gun in his hand that looked uniquely white in color, an arm long and a rifle that looked blunt.

The soldier at position on the floor, was seen ready to shoot anytime, pointing his gun towards all dens around, since he wasn't sure of where the creature vanished to.

[JONA... JONATHAN!!!]

Shortly did Jonathan hear a reply from his ear-ins, but only did he receive broken signals unusually.

Jonathan sighed and disabled the blinking ear-ins ready to face the creature single handedly.

With the giant sniper in hand, he walked to the towers edge, determined to catch the creature no matter how dangerous it could be.

But before he did even take position of his lasers, a cool breeze tapped his shoulders, gently passing a threatening aura to him.

Soon after did the breeze touched him, a pungent smell entered Jonathan's nose, making him feel stiff breath.

The pool smell made Jonathan fall to the ground, he puked something yellow and, finally his eyesight began to fade, making him breathless.

When he was about to close his eyes, he was threatened to death, when a broad giant figure stood close him, letting out smoke from its nose.

His eyes spotted a blurry view of hairy body, that looked giant tall and groaned, whenever its nostrils let out smoky air.

Jonathan couldn't even lift his fingers, when the massive figure approached him step by step, slowly turning him paralyzed by its scent.
