Alicia looked back panting hard,she was surprised to see that the boys had now stopped chasing her and were now somewhat afraid to take another step,what happened? Could it be that they had sighted a wild animal.
She quickly looked towards the car again and that was when she noticed a figure nonchalantly lying on the bonnet of the car with one leg bent and the other lying flat, using his left palm as a pillow and his right elbow over his eyes, it was a boy,and his posture under the starry night was very cool and badass that Alicia almost fell into a daze.
But wait,was he the reason the boys backed off like they were scared, Alicia soon became alarmed, ' how could three boys be scared of just one boy' could it be that he was even more dangerous?, her eyes glanced at the boys from afar off before it returned back to the figure on the car, he looked asleep but he actually wasn't, instead was in deep meditation because he seemed to notice their presence but still ignored it as he didn't even bother to spare them a look.
Alicia's heart was still pounding though but her eyes soon started to scan the relatively dark and quiet area full of trees and bushes around,the place looked calm, cool peaceful and void of any disturbance.
Her eyes travelled to the sky as soon as she noticed the sudden brightness,the moon had just come out. In Alicia's culture,whenever someone was walking alone in the dark and the Moon suddenly lits up to direct the person it was considered a good Omen.
A tear drop fell from her eyes before her eyes returned back to the car only to see his eyes wide open looking towards her direction but not staring at her instead he was looking at the boys behind her who were still lingering around probably waiting for the perceived threat to leave before they continued their hunt.
Alicia also looked behind to see that they hadn't left yet, it was obvious that the boy right here was the only reason stopping them from coming further.
When her eyes returned back to the car, the boy was now staring at her as calmly as ever Alicia held her breath as she stared back at him, ' those eyes ' why did those eyes look familiar and why was it giving her a feeling of deja vu .
Alicia tried to recall where she had seen those eyes before and even the gleaming red car which she was sure she had seen somewhere before, but unfortunately her still - in - shock brain was unable to process or remember anything just yet.
Alicia fiddled with her skirt's hem looking scared and timid thinking of what she should say to make him help her, but before she could think of anything the boy suddenly jerked up from his car looking like all his peace had been ruined and his quiet time disturbed.
Alicia's heart that had just calmed down a bit a while ago began to thud fast again seeing the boy walk up to the driver's seat, he was probably gonna leave.
"P-please,I'm lost" she quickly said in a shaky voice before he got to the car door causing the boy to halt. " I,I don't know my way out,I ,I was heading to hall 3 but somehow along the line i, i landed here ". She swallowed. " And I don't know my way out". She explained taking a step forward as she glanced at the three boys behind her who were now stylishly getting closer seeing that the boy was about to leave.
Alicia glanced at the boy,then back at the three boys, hoping he would see and understand her situation, although Alicia didn't know whom this boy was,if he was dangerous or not but she just wanted to get out of this place and she knew he was the only one who could help.
Alicia stared at the boy's face whom she couldn't see clearly hoping he would help but instead,the boy acted as though he was deaf and just simply opened the doors of his tinted car and got in, slamming the door softly.
Alicia almost died on the spot,. 'w-what' her mind screamed,her only chance to get out of here just.....,. She looked back to see that the three boys were now strolling towards her,their 32 teeths wide open underneath their hoodies,they were so sure,infact a 100% sure that the boy wasn't gonna meddle or intervene in the situation hence that was why they were on standby, patiently waiting for him to leave and now their wait was over.
Alicia's breath hitched as she watched the boys walk towards her,fear engulfed her entire being as goosebumps made their way out of her skin,what were they going to do to her!!, At this point, Alicia knew she couldn't run anymore since they were already close and that if she were to go any further,she would only end up in that dark forest ahead of them which was even more dangerous as she stood the risk of either falling into traps or attacked by an animal,that is if there were any!!
The boys were now only few steps away from her when suddenly the smooth and loud rumbling of the car in front of her jolted her and forced her to look towards it's direction,she couldn't believe he was actually gonna leave her here.
Facing the car's direction,she could already see from the windows that the boys were now very close to her,she was about to close her eyes tightly when suddenly,the window of the car rolled down and then she heard.
"Get in"
Alicia wasn't sure if what she heard was real or her imagination but she was quick to move and jump into the front seat of the car, quickly locking the door.
Because it was quite dark,they couldn't see the shock that registered on the boys faces the Moment she was let into the car, since when did he start to meddle and take away other people's shot like that,they could only scratch their head dejectedly as the night had been ruined for them,they grumbled inwardly because no matter how much they got angry,there was nothing they could do to him, except if they were ready to lose a limb or an eye .
