Her mother said to her,Ireoluwa tomorrow's your birthday,her mother was surprised because she didn't get the exclamation she expected from her,her mother asked her are u not happy,'of course am happy. But deep down in herself she knows she is not happy because is only her mother that will celebrate with her, people don't want to associate themselves with her because of her tribal mark,remembering all this tears escape her eyes but she quickly wiped it off before her mother could see it.
Both mother and daughter went to the kitchen to cook dinner they both decided to prepare egusi soup with semolina,after they finished cooking they dish out the food to the dinner table, after they were done eating they greeted themselves and were to their separate rooms.
