After the problem with Suna, Zoro stops hunting their missing nins, just like how he stops hunting Kiri's missing nins ever since he has a problem with the 4th Mizukage. Now the 4th Kazekage, Rasa is joining Yagura on Zoro's enemy list.
Before he had a problem with Yagura, Zoro actually wanted to save him from Akatsuki. But now, he doesn't care whether that guy will die or not.
Well, he actually already guessed that Yagura would not be a nice guy because that guy grew up in the Bloody Mist. There was no way someone who led the Bloody Mist would be a kind person. But he never thought that guy would be such an annoying Kage.
Actually, there's no kind Kage in Zoro's opinion. Even those like Hashirama or Minato aren't exactly kind. They are only kind to their people, but they will still be ruthless to their enemies.
If not, then they won't be shinobi because shinobi are basically killers or assassins. The Kages are even more cold-blooded because they are the ones leading these killers and they are also the ones who receive all the dirty jobs and assign their people to do these jobs.
Well, that's just how it is in this kind of world. That's why Zoro just does whatever he thinks is right and necessary for him. He doesn't care if he is labeled as good or evil as long as he thinks he already does the right things based on his own standard.

Zoro's attack on Sunagakure has become a hot topic for a few weeks. People keep talking about it because it's such a crazy thing for 1 man to do. Furthermore, he survived and left just because a 3rd party came to disrupt the war.
People now can only guess what Zoro would do if Akatsuki didn't come to the war. They are guessing whether it would be Zoro or Suna that got destroyed if they kept fighting.
But no one will ever know the answer although it's more likely that the village will win. After all, they have thousands of shinobi while Zoro is alone. It's almost impossible for him to win against a village no matter how strong he is.
It's just that these people don't consider that Zoro must have a plan and confidence to win against Sunagakure or he won't attack them alone. Though well, Zoro surely has the confidence to win, but not with the plan.
He actually just came to Sunagakure without any concrete plan. He only believed he would win because he believed that if Madara could fight that many shinobi in the 4th world war, then he can do it too.
In his mind, if he can't at least do that now, then he won't be able to defeat the Six Path Madara in the war a few years later. That's why his attack on Sunagakure is also a kind of test for himself to see how strong he has become.
But Akatsuki ruined it again. They always ruined his life by showing up at the wrong time. He is actually tempted to just destroy them, but he still can't find a way to do it once and for all.
If he wants to destroy Akatsuki, he needs to destroy them completely. Especially, he needs to kill Obito and Black Zetsu, which is the most troublesome. He doesn't think they are strong, but their abilities make them really hard to kill.
So for now, Zoro just leaves Akatsuki alone. Besides, getting rid of them doesn't really benefit him. They sure trouble him sometime, but he won't get much benefit for all the trouble he needs to do to get rid of them.
Also, they are too big of a problem for a single person like him to handle. It should be the big villages and countries that deal with them because they are a threat to those villages and countries, not him.
While they try to kill him a few times now, it actually helps him too because he can try his moves on them. He is someone who lives through battles anyway, so their attacks are just normal things for him.
Though after the incident in Suna, Akatsuki doesn't attack him anymore. It actually confuses him because they seemed determined to kill him. But now they suddenly stop, as if he's not worth their time anymore.
It somehow annoys him when he thinks like that. So he just ignores it and continues his life as usual. He keeps hunting missing nins from anywhere except Suna and Kiri that he has banned.
However, the number of high-rank missing nins that he can hunt has reduced quite a lot now. It seems like he has hunted too many of them, so their number has gotten quite low.
Most of the remaining high-ranking missing nins are very smart at hiding, so even the very reliable information broker groups fail to find them. Without knowing where they are, Zoro can't target them and hunt them.
So for now he just hunts whoever he can. He hunts the ones with high bounty rewards like A-Rank missing nins even though they won't really give him decent battles. But at least they can give him decent amounts of rewards.

Time passes like that for Zoro. He just enjoys his life for now without thinking much about the upcoming events in the story.
Well, he doesn't think about them because he has forgotten most of them too after all these years. Besides, he's sure a lot of things will change with all the things that have changed too.
Just having their parents still alive will surely change Naruto's and Sasuke's lives. The lives of those 2 main characters of this world will surely change the story that Zoro knows.
So it's better to not rely on the story plot from now on. Maybe some events won't change if fates are real in this world. But if it happens, that means no matter what Zoro does, some things will never change.
If so, then there's no need for him to be so worked up on changing the future. Though he never actively tries to change the future. He only does what he wants and only changes something when he is involved in a plot coincidentally.
Zoro rarely wants to get involved in the Naruto story plot. But sometimes, he gets involved even if he doesn't want to. Coincidence is such a scary thing because someone can even die by coincidence.
Such a strange coincidence actually happens to Zoro now. He is just going through a forest on Torao's back and they are about to cross a river. They have just gotten information about a wanted ninja from Iwagakure and are on their way to catch the target.
But when they are about to cross the river, Zoro senses a very weak presence. He knows it's a human's presence and it is strangely weak like a sick person. His years of experience tells him it's not the presence of a ninja, not even a ninja that can hide their presence, but a normal person.
It's not a normal situation because they are in a forest now. So he decides to check it because he often finds people getting lost in wilderness and most of them are children.
He might be selfish and his hands are stained with blood. But he will always help people that really need help, especially if they are children. He won't let children suffer and he never kills children, even if they are ninja or criminals. Teenagers are different though.
Zoro and Torao check the weak presence that Zoro senses. His gut feeling is right, it's a normal person, a child at that. The green-haired child is lying weakly on the ground under a tree near the river and she looks very pale.
"OI, KID, CAN YOU HEAR ME?"
Zoro quickly checks the little girl's body and her pulses are weak. He isn't a doctor, but he knows what happened to her because it often happens to the people lost in wilderness that he finds sometimes.
This little girl is malnourished. She is starving. Probably hasn't eaten anything for a couple of days. There's a fishing rod near her, so she has tried to catch fish, but couldn't get any.
"Seems like she was drifted here when fishing on that broken boat." Torao sees a broken boat near them and the damage is new.
"It doesn't matter now. Hurry up and take out the bread and water. She can't eat anything heavy with her weak stomach, but we don't have time to make porridge. So let's just mix water with bread to make an easy bread porridge to fill her stomach while we prepare a proper porridge."
Zoro is very serious right now. He is not an angel or a kind person. But he won't let a child die like this.
