Chereads / Naruto: Reborn as Zoro / Chapter 37 - 37. Konoha

Chapter 37 - 37. Konoha

Finding his target is easy with all the information from underworld information brokers. Zoro finds his target in 2 days, a big fat man from Iwagakure with 1 million ryo placed on his head.

"Kukuku, another bounty hunter. I've forgotten how many of you came to claim the bounty on my head. But the results are always the same. All of you become the one who died by my hands. These cursed hands of mine will be stained with blood again, KUAHAHAHA!"

"....."

Zoro is dumbfounded. He hasn't even said a single word and this guy suddenly talks like a kid with a kind of syndrome.

"Hey, Torao, I don't think they wrote anything about him being crazy."

"W-well, at least now we know he has been targeted by some bounty hunters thanks to his 8th Grade Syndrome, so he must be the correct target."

Zoro just sighs before taking out Enma and coats it with haki. He is hunting to try his control over Enma in a real battle, after all, so he needs to use his Haki immediately, unlike usual.

"Kukuku, eager to die, aren't you? Then let me give you a proper burial!"

The man forms some hand seals to activate his jutsu.

"Earth Style: Multiple Golems Technique!"

10 earth golems the size of the surrounding trees are formed from the surrounding soil. Then the man forms more hand seals.

"Earth Release: Golem Armor!"

The soil around him breaks down and climbs up his body, forming a thick full body armor until he has the same size as the golems.

"He suddenly uses this level of jutsu from the beginning."

"Kukuku, lions always go all out even when hunting rabbits. I also do that. There's no holding back in my dictionary!"

The man orders the golems to attack Zoro who just stands there with Enma in his hand. Zoro watches the Golems coming and raises Enma to the side.

He waits for a while until the golems get closer before swinging Enma horizontally. A big wide flying slash attack comes out of his swing and cuts the golems like butter.

However, Zoro's right arm that is coated with haki gets a little thinner. Enma was sucking his haki more than what he gives to it.

"Tch! I lost control for a bit there."

Because Enma takes more of his haki, the slash is more powerful than Zoro intended. It cuts the golems, the trees, and also the man in the golem armor.

Seeing his lower half that has been separated from his upper half makes the man's eyes widen in disbelief. Just 1 attack from his opponent is enough to destroy his jutsu and even cut his body in half.

He still has that shocked expression when he breathes his last. Even Zoro is actually shocked that the opponent dies this easily even though he didn't use his great techniques.

"Well, there's a reason he was considered weak even among A-Rank missing nins. His jutsu sure looks strong, but looks can be deceiving."

Zoro just assumes that his opponent was just too weak. That's why he died so easily. And maybe he was caught off guard.

"Hmm, sometimes using decisive blows from the start is the best thing to do to end the fight immediately."

But that isn't his real concern now as he still can't fully control Enma. He usually can control Enma just fine when he uses that level of power in training. But using it in battle is different because he needs to be wary of his opponent, so he can lose concentration in controlling Enma.

"I need to do more battles."

Since then, Zoro diligently hunts A-Rank missing nins. He focuses on using Enma in those battles and only uses the other swords when Enma alone isn't enough to defeat the opponents.

His control over his swords keeps getting better each day. Real battles really help to improve his skills and power because they give a lot of growth stimulations.

A few months later, Zoro is on his way to Konoha. This will be his first time going to Konoha since he reincarnated here.

He has visited the other great hidden villages including Tsuna and Kiri. But this will be his first time going to Konoha.

Zoro didn't avoid going to Konoha, but there aren't many good bounty targets from there. Most missing nins from Konoha are either too weak or too strong for his training, so he doesn't target them.

But a few days ago, he coincidentally met 3 missing nins from Konoha. He wasn't targeting them, but the missing nins decided to rob him because he didn't look strong.

The result says otherwise. Zoro defeated the 3 of them who worked as a team. They are just chuunins who run away from the war, after all, so they don't stand a chance against Zoro.

Konoha prefers them alive for unknown reasons, so Zoro ties them with rope and chains. He also ties their wrists, ankles, and fingers with wire to prevent them from escaping.

Their mouths are also stuffed with cloth before being tied. Then he tied them together, facing each other.

He deliberately makes their faces close to each other so they will think more of how to prevent kissing each other than escaping.

To carry them, Zoro ties them on a log and he carries the log on his shoulder. Torao sits on his head to point the way to Konoha because he can't carry too many people at once even in his big form.

But because of Zoro's terrible sense of direction, they take longer to reach Konoha. The missing nins are starving and losing their energy because Zoro doesn't feed them for 4 days, so now they stop retaliating.

When they arrive at Konoha, they surprise the guards because they carry the missing nins like luggage with a big log.

The procedures are basically the same as other villages. They are picked up by an official and then the ninjas check the missing nins before giving Zoro the rewards.

He gets 1.3 million ryo from the 3 of them. They don't have high bounties, but by catching all 3 of them at the same time, he gets quite a lot of sum rewards.

Zoro walks around the village after getting his reward money. This is his first time visiting Konoha, after all, so he wants to look around as usual.

Konoha is the liveliest among all 5 great villages. The buildings here also look good and colorful, unlike those in Iwa and Tsuna.

Though the atmospheres in Iwa and Tsuna are still much better than Kiri which is still called the Bloody Mist Village because of its crazy academy graduation where the students need to kill each other.

Zoro passes a tool store and decides to stop by for a while. He needs to buy a chakra nature paper that he keeps forgetting to buy.

Surprisingly, he hasn't checked his chakra nature element yet. It's because he wanted to focus on his swordsmanship and haki before trying to integrate his chakra nature into his swordsmanship.

Now his swordsmanship has reached a good level, so he is ready to learn his chakra nature to improve his swordsmanship even further.

Zoro finds an inn to stay and he checks his chakra nature in his room. He flows his chakra into the paper and it splits in half before burning into ashes.

"Wind and Fire? Hmm, I remember the basic training for the Wind element from what Asuma taught to Naruto. But what about the Fire element?"

"Just focus on the Wind element for now. You can think of the Fire element after that. Wind element will help you improve your swordsmanship a lot because the Wind element is the sharpest, so it's very suitable for weapons like swords."

"Right. I can think of the Fire element after mastering the Wind element."

If he masters the Wind element, then his sword attacks will be much sharper. Maybe he'll be able to cut even Susanoo or Tailed Beasts if his swords become very very sharp.

"Alright, let's start the training for my Wind element after leaving Konoha. Tomorrow, I will go sightseeing from morning till night so I can leave the day after."

With such determination, Zoro goes to sleep. He is excited about the training he will do soon. But a big problem falls on him that night. It literally falls on him, the 9-tailed fox is summoned above the inn where he sleeps and drops on him as it destroys the inn.
