Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Shadows of Fear

Subham and his friends decided to unwind after the unsettling events of the night by indulging in a delicious dinner at a local restaurant in Jaipur. The aroma of spices and sizzling dishes filled the air, and the lively ambiance helped to ease their nerves.

As they laughed and chatted over their meal, Dipika excused herself to use the restroom, her earlier encounter with the ghost still fresh in her mind. Subham couldn't help but feel a pang of worry as she left the table, her unease evident in her hurried steps.

Alone in the restroom, Dipika tried to shake off her fear as she splashed water on her face. She looked up at her reflection in the mirror, half expecting to see the ghostly figure staring back at her.

And then, just as she was about to turn away, she saw it—a faint shadow lurking behind her in the mirror, its form twisting and contorting in the dim light. Dipika's breath caught in her throat as she watched in horror, unable to tear her eyes away from the ghastly sight.

With a sudden burst of movement, the shadow lunged forward, its ghostly form reaching out as if to grab her. Dipika screamed, the sound echoing off the tiled walls of the restroom as she stumbled backward in terror.

Her friends, alarmed by her cry, rushed to the restroom to find Dipika huddled in a corner, her eyes wide with fear.

"What happened?" Subham asked, his heart pounding in his chest as he knelt down beside her.

Dipika struggled to catch her breath, her hands trembling as she tried to form words. "It... it was there again. In the mirror," she managed to gasp out, her voice quivering with fear.

Ankan and Saheli exchanged worried glances, while Nayanika looked visibly shaken by Dipika's ordeal.

Subham and Ankan checked the restroom thoroughly, but once again, they found no sign of any ghostly presence. Confused and frustrated, they tried to reassure Dipika that it was just her imagination running wild.

But Dipika, unable to shake the feeling of dread that consumed her, made a decision. "I... I need to go home," she said, her voice barely above a whisper as tears welled up in her eyes.

Her friends tried to convince her to stay, but Dipika remained adamant. With a heavy heart, she bid them farewell and left for the airport, her fear too overwhelming to ignore.

As Subham and his friends watched Dipika's departure, a sense of unease settled over them. They couldn't shake the feeling that something sinister lurked in the shadows of their hotel in Rajasthan.

Unbeknownst to them, that morning, a couple had been found dead in the same hotel they were staying in—a chilling discovery that sent shockwaves through the city of Jaipur and cast a dark shadow over their once-exciting adventure.
