Ariana’s POV
A month had passed.
“I cannot still believe they gave it to you,” I said.
“Now don’t be mean,” Fenrir flashed a grin, “The benefits were definitely worth the price.”
The bar we sat in was full which was a little surprising for us, but it wasn’t a bad change. People were together with others and from the looks of it, most were smiling and enjoyed their time.
A change definitely.
“Necessary change,” I called it.
“It’s been a while since this place was like this.” Sigil said.
“It’s a good thing though, right?” Bach replied.
“It is.” Sigil answered. “It most definitely is.”
“We’re supposed to be celebrating my promotion here,” Fenrir stretched out his hands, his grin surprisingly increasing in width.
“I’m still a little surprised they gave it to you,” I said to him.
His grin dropped slightly, “Now do you really believe that, Ariana?”
He was right, I really didn’t believe it.
Fenrir was more than qualified for the promotion he received.
