(Damon/Leo)’s POV
Time was running out.
There was only so much time that could pass before the truth finally came out.
There was only so much disgust I could feel for myself.
I did attack that egoistical chief Fenrir but if I didn’t he would’ve actually died in another hands.
Klaus and the principal had decided that they would get rid of him because of his apparent usefulness in Ariana’s pursuit.
That was my only choice.
Return a failure and save that loser’s life.
Although, I didn’t want to inflict injuries of such degree on him.
It was supposed to be convincing enough that they would believe my scripted failure. And it worked.
He was alive and strong enough to be chatty with his mouth.
The only reason I chose to save him was because I knew the effect it would have on Ariana, she would blame herself and sink further into her despair.
I wanted to save her from that pain.
And because of that reason, I felt no regret nor bothered to.
