Part 1: The World of Spirits
Spriggan.
Intelligent life forms that serve as the basic building blocks for all phenomena in the world.
From the spriggans of lightning that create storms in the skies to the spriggans of the land that cause a flower to bloom, spriggans are behind all the marvels and disasters on Sylvanith.
Each having their own peculiarities and oddities, they come in many different forms.
Ancient and new,
Strong and weak.
And while remarkable and strange, these entities share a common trait: they are whimsical in character, their unpredictable nature dictating the ebb and flow of the world's events.
Because of this ever-changing nature, the beings of Sylvanith have learned to forge contracts with spirits using Arcane energy, gaining unique and wondrous powers.
Some can split mountains with their fists, while others can summon tsunamis to drown their enemies. For most, however, these powers are merely a means to accomplish day-to-day tasks.
In Sylvanith, with current technology, everything is related to the arcane, from the trains we ride to the stoves we cook on. This integration of Arcane energy into daily life creates a seamless blend of the mystical and the mundane.
Nevertheless, there are those who seek to master these manifestations and take on perilous adventures.
These brave souls journey into dungeons, fight monsters, explore far-off places, and accept impossible quests. They are known as Walpurgis.

Part 2: The War
Thirteen years ago on the continent of Seraphall, a bloody war was waged between the two dominant powers of the land.
From the west, the kingdom of knights, Alfren, and to the east, the land of cherry blossoms, Sakuraoka. Both leveraged their powerful Walpurgis, causing mass destruction across the land. Many cities were burned, children orphaned, and wives widowed.
In the beginning, many called for a ceasefire, claiming the war was unjust, but the notion was soon stamped out because the only thing both sides could agree on was revenge.
The land became cloaked in the smell of iron and the people grew used to the sight of blood until both sides had no more soldiers to throw into battle.
This led to the great pledge that serves as the treaty today, ending what would be known as the Crimson War Era.
Yet, the shadows of the past still linger in the hearts of those who survived it.

Part 3: The boy and the Letter
In the aftermath of the Crimson War, the world sought to rebuild and reclaim its lost peace. Amid this backdrop, somewhere on a small hill, outside a tiny town in a far-off place, a boy named Izuru was staring at the azure sky, with a letter clutched in his hand.
'Dear Izuru,
I've found something that might interest you. There's word of an upcoming Walpurgis exam in Kandai. I've enclosed the details of where to gather, including the location and the date. This could be your chance to conquer dungeons, take on perilous quests, and show the world what you're made of. Your path to becoming a Myth starts now.
Sincerely, X'
Finally, Mom, I'm taking the first step, he said softly, his voice steady and calm. The clouds above seemed to drift in response as if acknowledging his words.
Hey, kid,
an old man shouted from across the field. Dreaming again? I'm not paying you to slack off.
With a light, rare smile, Izuru felt a rush of resolve and replied back, 'I know, I know. I'll be right there, you geezer.'"
