Hazel and Zelda exchanged looks of uncertainty as they both went to get the door. Hazel was barely holding onto her boldness as she squeaked the door open slowly.
It turned out to be a guard. Her anticipation and fear died down only for the fear to reappear in double fold, the moment she recognized the guard to be from the pack house.
She immediately assumed the worst. "Don't tell me... Is Kieran?.... She started but shouldn't she swallowed a painful lump in her throat before she could continue her statement.
"Is Kieran... Has he given up the ghost?" She asked and the guard replied by shaking his head.
"Then what is it with the ghastly look and emergency knock on my door?" She asked refusing to be relieved. At this rate, Hazel suddenly developed major trusting issues and she knew it wouldn't be solved if everyone wouldn't be just straightforward with her.
