Anna giggled playing with her hair. She smiled, pouting her lips unknown to her surroundings. Her brother turned the review mirror to his side "Anna, what's wrong with you?" Andrew asked, turning his back to facing her.
She leaned on the door still laughing weirdly. Thank God he locked the car door as soon as she entered.
"Don't know" She said, turning her gaze which landed on a figure close to her.
"Who's this?" She asked her brother.
No one answered her.
She closed her eyes a little bit, trying to see who it was. Going near the figure, she asked again, "Who are you?" But the person kept quiet.
Her stomach grumbled, causing her to move away from the silhouette.
"I want Ice cream" She mumbled.
"I want Ice cream, Andrew" Anna whined.
"We are going home, there is Ice there!" Andrew said finally. Who knew his sister was this annoying.
"No, no I don't want the one at home...I want the one from outside"
"Andrew!!" Anna yelled his name out loud.
"Fine, fine, I will get the Ice Cream for you" He groaned, informing the driver of the place to stop.
"I want it at the 'Ice Cream parlour' pretty please" She said playfully.
Her brother walked out as the driver stopped by the road side. She started humming a song.
After patiently waiting for her ice cream, her brother entered the car giving her the ice cream with a meat pie.
"Merci" Anna smiled, taking them from his hand.
"The meat pie is a bit hot so eat it slowly" Andrew said gently.
Anna nodded, taking a bite from the meat pie. She kept her ice cream close to her on the car seat.
She hesitated a little, calling him "Andrew".
"Yes" He answered.
"I heard one of your colleague is throwing a bash next week...I want to come" Anna voiced out, eating the last piece of her meat pie.
"Okay b-
"Am bringing my friends" Anna cut him of immediately saying. She smirked, tilting her head outside the window. She stared at the stars and moon in the sky.
She pointed at the moon, giggling a little. A few minutes later, Her eyes felt heavy as sleep took her. Her back hit the seat, her hands fell resting on her side. She curled her self, hugging her body tightly. The window was rolled up, obstructing air flowing into the car from her side.
She heard a faint voice close to her "She's sleeping" Jason said finally. Seating close to her feels different. She wasn't the same girl who would cling onto him like a koala. Her browns would lit up as soon as she sees him. When they were together, she could talk, talk and talk even though he wasn't listening to her babbling to things he didn't care.
Do time change people?
"Okay" Andrew rested his back on the seat. He picked up his phone and dialed up a few numbers. After two rings the person answered.
"I want you to go to De La Café and find out what happened to my sister. She seemed a bit drunk and do check the CCTV cameras around there, anything" He urged sternly.
The car turned revealing a mansion which was situated in a secluded area. The black gates were tall and made of strong heavy metals. Tall coconut trees were planted and trimmed by each side of the gates. The driver stopped at the front of the gate. He rolled down his window, revealing a soldier. He looked at them before giving his command on the handheld transceiver, he held in his hold firmly.
Clanking of irons resounded as the gate opened. The driver started the engine, moving inside. He gently parked by the side of the Mansion.
Andrew and Jason stepped out of the car at the same time, closing the door. Andrew walked up to the other side of the car where his sister was sleeping soundly. The driver rolled down her window a little.
He knocked on the glass, earning a groan from her"Anna" He called.
She frowned, opening her eyes"Oh, Andrew I want to sleep" She curled on the chair even more.
Thankfully the person he was hoping to see came out finally.
"She's sleeping" He pointed at the sleeping Anna in the car.
Linda quickly opened the door, she tapped Anna gently"Anna, come let me take you to your room"
"Ok" Her eyes were closed as she leaned close to Linda whispering something inside her ear.
Linda chuckled, taking her out of the car.
"What happened?, Why are you laughing?" Series of questions popped from Andrew's mouth as he closed the door.
"Nothing" She whispered, dragging Anna into the Mansion.
Anna burst out into a fit of laughter into her room. She imagined her brother's face, the annoyed look on his face. He looked so pissed.
"You can imagine his face" She stood imitating her brother's stance. Linda laughed covering her mouth.
"Yeah" They both stayed in silence thinking about something else.
"I'll go back now, you can rest" Linda said walking out.
"Goodnight, Sweet dreams" She said closing the door.
"Goodnight" Anna waved at her.
She groaned, falling backward on her bed. Tomorrow is going to be a new day. She couldn't wait because starting from that scene at the café, she had made up her mind to become someone unbeatable. It's time to show them what she can do.
She smiled and tapped on a remote on the nightstand. All lights went off in one go.
"Goodnight"
