Chapter 2 - Chapter One

The Forgotten Prophecy.

Was a novel that my friend recommended to me to read once we were done with exams.

It was a popular novel that was gaining popularity for its storyline about an Emperor who fell in love with a Saintess, a savior who had freed him from a horrible curse.

Anastasia Vasilev, the Emperor's betrothed, was infamous for her cruelty toward the Saintess. She was one of the main antagonists, instrumental in the development of the main leads' relationship. I had disliked her character immensely.

Rosalind Blackwood was a supporting character, the sole confidante of the villainess Anastasia. She was the daughter of Baron Blackwood, a fallen noble who lost all his wealth due to his gambling addiction.

To support her mother, Rosalind decided to become a maid, yet no one would hire the daughter of a disgraced noble—no one but Anastasia Vasilev, the only daughter of Duke Vasilev.

While working as a maid Rosalind became Anastasia's only friend and vice versa.

The two friends did everything together, including bullying the Saintess who had captured the Emperor's heart.

Ultimately both Rosalind and Anastasia had also died together at the hands of the Emperor.

Despite her role as a bully, I admired Rosalind's unwavering loyalty. Her character added depth to the story as she stood by Anastasia regardless of anything, even at the cost of her own life.

The novel ended with the deaths of both Rosalind and Anastasia, paving the way for the Emperor and the Saintess's happy ending—a cliché conclusion, but one that satisfied many readers, including me.

Satisfied with the ending of the novel, I had decided to finally put my phone down and get some much needed sleep.

But when I opened my eyes.

A big furry creature was running towards me as a young girl ran behind it waving her hand.

"Rosalind!"

I woke up as the villainess's one and only friend.
