When Floppy Ears Mom has a new baby Floppy Ears has to help choose the right name for his new baby sister.
Once upon a time there was a bunny.
Now, this was no ordinary bunny, this bunny was pink with long skinny arms and long skinny legs. This bunny had long floppy ears and I think that was how he got his name. His name was "Floppy Ears".
"Mom", said Floppy Ears, "can you tell us the story about when Sunshine was born?"
"Ok, you guys climb up here and I will tell you the story" answered his mom.
Floppy Ears and his little sister both climbed up on the couch beside their mom.
Once upon a time Floppy Ears lived in this big house with only his mom and dad.
One day his Mom called him into the living room and told him he was going to become a big brother.
Well, floppy ears knew what that met. His mom was going to have a baby. "Will I have a baby brother or a baby sister" asked Flopper Ears.
"We don't know if it is a boy or girl and we won't find out until the baby is born" said mom.
Before the baby was born Floppy Ears helped his dad set up the baby's room. Floppy Ears looked through his toys and picked out all the ones he didn't play with any more and put them in the baby's room.
Floppy Ears picked out all the books he liked when he was little and put them on the new bookshelf.
Then the waiting began. Each day as Floppy Ears waited he got more and more excited.
Finally the day came for his mom to go to the hospital.
Floppy Ears went to stay with his grandparents while his mom and dad went to the hospital. A while later they got a call from Floppy Ears dad. His mom had a baby girl.
Floppy Ears grandparents took him to the hospital to meet his new sister.
He ran into the room and gave his mom a big hug. "Where's my sister, where's my sister" he asked.
"Here she is, she is sleeping right now" said his dad, who was holding the baby in his arms.
"Wow" said Floppy Ears.
"Isn't she beautiful" said his grandmother.
Floppy Ears stopped looking at the baby and went back over to his mom. "Mom, now that you have her will you still love me too?" asked Floppy Ears.
"Of course I will" said his mom, giving him a big hug, "you will always be my little boy."
Floppy Ears grandfather asked "have you chosen a name for her yet?"
"We were waiting for Floppy Ears to arrive before we decided for sure" replied Floppy Ears dad.
"What do you think Floppy Ears," asked Floppy Ears mom, "of the names we talked about which one should we pick?"
Floppy Ears walked over and looked at his sister. He then sat down in the chair and his dad put her in his lap.
After a few minutes he started to smile. "I want her name to be Sunshine, Sunshine Bunny."
Mom and dad looked at each other and smiled. Then dad said "Sunshine, welcome to the family."
When they got home Floppy Ears helped look after Sunshine. He read her stories and showed her how to play with his toys and they quickly became the best of friends.
