Arthur thought to himself, "Still a really good skill."
Lily, still fawning over her owl, smiled and said, "Of course it is. You're a really good owl, aren't you, little Glauxine?" She used a baby voice that Arthur had never heard from her before, as Glaux tilted its head to the side, clearly enjoying the attention.
Arthur watched the interaction with mild amusement. "Didn't know you liked pets," he remarked, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't. This one's just that special," Lily replied, still scratching the owl's head. Glaux's feathers ruffled in delight as it nestled closer to her hand.
Arthur shook his head, suppressing a grin. Then his gaze shifted to the other Random Crystal, which was glowing faintly in the near distance. It was the only one left intact, the one next to the now-dissolved crystal that Lily had used.
"Guess it's my turn," Arthur said, more to himself than to Lily.
