Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Golden Prince's Return

-Lelouch's Point-Of-View-

-Age: 14-

-Location: Ashford Manor, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11 (Formerly Japan)

-Date: August 10, 2013 (3 years after the invasion)

I have been thinking of the last three years on how everything has happened and that I and my little sister Nunnally from the invasion of Japan in which an unknown group of Special Forces that are not part of the Britannian Military invasion Forces attacked me, my little sister, and Suzaku Kururugi a friend of ours at the time. We decided that it is best to split up; me and my little sister came here to the Ashford manor, scared that assassins would try and go for us anywhere else in Japan, but I was wrong.

In the past year alone, there have been twenty-five assassinations made by unknown assailants. However, in the last month, there has been none. The silence is unsettling, and I don't know when they are going to strike next. It is for that reason I have confided in my four lovers, Miya I. Hillmick, Milly Ashford, Shirley Fenette, and Nina Einstein, and my little sister, Nunnally vi Britannia, about my plan to return to our family and home. The only way that can happen is if I get myself found by a Knightmare Frame or a soldier in one of the many Britannian Military units here in Area 11.

My little sister and lovers exchanged glances, and then they turned to me with small smiles on their faces. Shirley spoke up, "Look Lulu, all five of us knew for the last week that you were going to tell us this. We just waited until you told us that you were going to get back with the rest of your family. This is one of the ways that we four talked about and decided that this is one of the easiest ways. The other is to call in a tip that you and Nunnally are alive."

I looked at each one of the girls and told them that I was going to do it within the next hour. I just wanted to come and tell them that. Until I call for a few Knightmares, troops, and transport to get us five safely back to the military base. I kissed my little sister on the forehead and kissed my four lovely girls on the lips. After doing all of that, I headed out of my and my sister's room that we are sharing and headed for the nearest military base, three miles from Ashford Manor, where we are now staying.

-10 minutes later-

-Location: Right outside the Military Base-

As soon as I sat down on a bench that is 40 feet from the main gate into the base, I couldn't help but think of what I was going to do when I went to the base or if they see me first due to the patrolling parts of the old Japanese city of Tokyo right outside the Tokyo Settlement.

They have patrolled the old city every day and night in four-hour shifts, and the next change is due any minute now. And here they are now—one of the patrols that are sent out is made up of Four RPI-11 Glasgow, one of the newer RPI-13 Sutherland, two M1A1AIM v2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks, four M1126 Stryker APC-IFV (Armored personnel carrier/Infantry fighting vehicle hybrid) that are holding 36 Britannian infantrymen—a good strength for a patrol force.

But one of the patrol forces that are coming out is commanded by Villetta Nu. She is in the newer RPI-13 Sutherland, which stands outside of the gate that leads right into the Base. I smile as I look at her and see that she has not changed from the last time that I saw her. I knew that then and there she would know who I was by just looking at me if she saw me at all.

As I think of a way to get her attention, I see her pull out her phone. Without a second thought, I pull out my Apple iPhone 4S that I brought with me and enter her number right into the phone. With a quick press of the call button, the phone starts ringing. I watch as Villetta glances at her phone and then answers the call. I can see her expression change from curiosity to surprise as she hears my voice.

-Villetta's Point-Of-View-

-Age: 28-

-Location: Outside the Military Base, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11 (Formerly Japan)

Villetta Nu, former Britannian Royal Guard and now a member of the military, was leading the patrol outside the military base. Her eyes caught sight of a familiar figure sitting on a bench. She couldn't believe her eyes; it was Lelouch vi Britannia, the exiled prince. Her heart raced as memories flooded back.

Her phone rang, and she hesitated for a moment before answering. "Hello, this Villetta to whom am I speaking?" she said cautiously.

"Lelouch," the voice on the other end replied, confirming her suspicions. Villetta's heart skipped a beat.

"Lelouch, is that really you?" she asked, unable to conceal the excitement in her voice.

Yes, Villetta, it's me," I responded. "I need your help."

Villetta's mind raced with a mix of emotions. She had so many questions, but the urgency in Lelouch's voice brought her back to the present.

"What's going on?" she inquired, trying to maintain her composure.

"I don't have much time. I need you to listen carefully," I explained, filling her in on the twenty-five assassinations that occurred since we arrived in Japan. I detailed the threats we faced and the danger that loomed over us.

Villetta listened in shock, her mind struggling to comprehend the gravity of the situation. She remembered the day Lelouch and Nunnally left the royal capital, and the pain she felt, thinking they had fallen out of favor with the emperor. Little did she know it was all a ruse, a plan to protect them from siblings who harbored jealousy and resentment.

As I spoke of my plan to return to the royal family, Villetta couldn't help but cry out with happiness. The prospect of being reunited with the one she loved filled her with joy.

But just as the call reached a critical point, a sharp pain shot through my upper arm. I winced, gritting my teeth, and Villetta heard my sharp intake of breath.

"Lelouch, what happened?!" she exclaimed, concern evident in her voice.

I could feel the warmth of blood seeping through my shirt. "I've been shot. I need your help. I'm outside the military base."

Villetta's instincts kicked in. Without a second thought, she ordered her patrol to stand by and rushed towards the source of my voice.

"Stay with me, Lelouch," she urged as she sprinted towards the injured prince. The gravity of the situation now included a wounded Lelouch, and Villetta's heart raced with a new sense of urgency.

As she reached me, she knelt, assessing the wound. "We need medical assistance here!" she shouted, signaling for the medics to approach. The others in the patrol looked on, bewildered, as Villetta took charge.

With a mixture of worry and determination, Villetta Nu, the once Royal Guard, now stood at the side of the man she loved, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

-Nunnally's Point-Of-View-

-Age: 12-

-Location: Ashford Manor, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11 (Formerly Japan)-

Nunnally vi Britannia sat quietly in her wheelchair, gazing out of the large windows of Ashford Manor. The day was calm, but an unspoken tension lingered in the air. Her thoughts were with her brother, Lelouch, who had just left to implement his plan to return them to the royal family.

As she watched the clouds drift lazily across the sky, her attention was suddenly drawn to the distant sound of helicopters approaching. Confused and intrigued, she strained her ears to discern their origin. The noise grew louder, and soon, three sleek Britannian military helicopters came into view.

The sight of the helicopters filled Nunnally with a mix of hope and anxiety. She wondered if they were a part of Lelouch's plan or if something unexpected had occurred. Her heart raced as the helicopters descended towards Ashford Manor.

Meanwhile, her phone buzzed, startling her. It was a call from Villetta Nu. She answered quickly, her voice tinged with worry, "Villetta, what's happening?"

Villetta's voice came through the phone, hurried and urgent, "Nunnally, listen carefully. Lelouch has been shot, and we're bringing him to the base for medical attention. You and the others at the Manor must prepare for arrival back to base. I'll explain everything when we get here."

Nunnally's heart sank at the news of Lelouch's injury, but she nodded determinedly, "We'll be ready, Villetta. Just bring him back safely."

As the call ended, Nunnally took a deep breath, her mind racing with a flurry of emotions. The helicopters touched down on the grounds of Ashford Manor, and Nunnally braced herself for the challenges that lay ahead. Little did she know, the events set in motion would reshape their destiny in ways she could not yet fathom.
