Chapter Title: Big News 20 – The Incompetent Doctor Remains Motionless

Setting: Grand Line, First Half, Drum Island.

In the midst of swirling snow and wind, the slender, long-legged Dr. Kureha emerges, clutching a newspaper. She drinks from her bottle, laughing as she watches a man awkwardly fleeing in the distance. Dr. Hiriluk hides behind a tree in the forest as a group of people pass by, cursing and rushing along. A peculiar, patterned fruit covered in snow is stuck among the branches of a tree. In the depths of the snowy woods, a herd of deer can be seen disappearing into the distance...

As for the location of Rusukaina Island, Liam's main body might forget, but his Stand, B.I.B., won't.

With a flash of black armor, B.I.B. quickly retrieves a memory from long ago, when they had followed the Snake Princess's ship to Kuja Island. Recalling the route, it points Liam in the right direction.

*Liam, oh Liam!*

Though the Stand is quite useful, relying on it to remember things all the time might mean you're on the path to early-onset Alzheimer's!

Liam nods gravely, ready to take off into the air with an incarnation of energy, when he notices Robin looking back, staring at the towering city walls of the island's female kingdom.

Liam smiles and says, "If you're reluctant, it's okay to stay here."

"Not really," Robin rolls her eyes at him, "I just remembered the first time I came to Kuja Island, I saw that old man on the city wall... I wonder what that was all about."

Liam thinks for a moment, stroking his chin. "If you really didn't missee it... there aren't many old man who could come to an island in this Calm Belt!"

But that doesn't mean there are none.

Strong men like Rayleigh could swim barehanded across the Calm Belt to Kuja Island.

I wonder if Chinjao, the leader of the Happo Navy from Kano Country, has the same swimming skills as Rayleigh...

Thinking of Kano Country makes Liam recall the Hasshoken that his mother, Lily, taught him. It seems like he hasn't practiced in a while.

Though Lily's letter mentioned it as Hasshō-ken— Eight Impacts Fist, he hasn't really managed to develop any real power from it. It's just a shallow introductory routine, at best helping improve his flexibility and coordination.

*It could be fun to play around with during breaks,* Liam muses. *After all, I'll have to visit Kano Country one day, and practicing Hasshoken will help me greet the locals.*

Robin recalls, "I remember that old man... he was really tall!"

Liam snaps back to attention and looks at her.

"But he didn't look strong," Robin adds, "He seemed more like a scholar…"

Liam ponders her words.

Before long, he conjures a gust of wind, lifting himself and Robin into the air.

The black-faced armor leads the way.

Meanwhile, at the Kuja training grounds, Instructor Cosmos learns of Hancock's escapade, sneaking aboard the pirate ship. She helplessly supports her forehead.

Sandersonia takes out a note left by Hancock and weakly says, "Elder sister told us not to let this slip before afternoon…"

"There's no helping it; after all, it's Hancock..." The other girls understand.

Cosmos groans before speaking, "Since she snuck onto the pirate ship, let the Snake Princess handle her."

The two sisters and other Kuja warrior girls think to themselves: How could the Snake Princess bear to deal with her... we wouldn't want to either!

Onboard the red ship pulled by two large snakes, the elderly Suzuran, who seldom sails with the crew, opens the door to find a small figure sneaking around, apparently trying to steal something to eat.

The shadow turns back, stuffing fruit into its mouth without stopping, wearing a clearly pitiful expression seeking forgiveness.

"Hancock?!"

Suzuran exclaims in surprise.

Before long, Hancock is brought before the Snake Princess.

"You!" The Snake Princess points her finger in exasperation, "Stay on the ship, be good, and don't act recklessly when we reach any island, got it?"

"Wow!!"

Hancock's pitiful expression vanishes as she cheers excitedly.

She jumps to the Snake Princess, wrapping her arms around her neck and planting a forceful kiss on her cheek.

*Worth it...* Even the Snake Princess can't help but think.

So enviable... Whether it's the elderly Suzuran or the other Kuja pirate crew members nearby, they all think the same, not knowing whom they envy more...

"Hancock, it seems you've been training hard," The Snake Princess says, setting Hancock down, smiling, "Your skills have improved a lot!"

'Of course, with those two always fighting her, how could she not improve?' Hancock thinks to herself as she casually waves her hand and rushes to the deck, looking forward with great anticipation at the horizon.

Grand Line...

The place where the true winds blow!

The plot of that book flashes in her mind... Hancock's cheerful mood suddenly falters as she ponders.

A gust of wind... a cloud floats toward Rusukaina Island.

Amidst the clouds, Robin exclaims in surprise, "It's snowing?"

She stretches out her hand towards the clouds, feeling the wind and snow slip between her fingers, bringing a chilling sensation.

Within the floating clouds, Liam's head appears.

At this moment, Rusukaina Island is completely covered in white, with swirling snow and wind.

Kuja Island is a spring island, with eternal springtime.

Rusukaina Island, however, experiences a climate change every week and is referred to as the island of forty-eight seasons by the Kuja.

Because of this wickedly harsh natural environment, the creatures here are incredibly fierce, with apex predators that even forced Luffy to develop the fourth gear to contend with them.

This is also why Liam returned here specifically; it's a perfect place for training.

Liam descends through the clouds, arriving at the lone safe zone on this island, in front of a large, carrot-like tree.

On the trunk, the inscription remains clear: "Fate is a sleeping slave. The advancing Giant."

Robin stares at the ancient script she carved herself for a while before lowering her gaze, suddenly saying, "I wonder if Hancock can break her fate?"

"Ah?" Liam turns to her, "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing..." Robin replies.

"You seem to be getting shorter!" Liam suggests. "You need to eat more, right?"

"..." Robin is speechless; it's clearly you who are growing too fast!

Suddenly, a mountain-sized Tiger bursts out of the jungle.

No...

It should be said that it was kicked out by something.

"Roar... woo..." The massive Tiger turns around to see a human walking over, rubbing his fists and frightening it into shaking uncontrollably.

Liam, exasperated, says, "Aren't you the king of the Hundred Beasts? You need to toughen up!"

The enormous Tiger trembles even more, as if about to unleash a tiger's roar...

Suddenly, the ground shakes.

A gigantic shadow looms over Liam and the Tiger.

Liam looks up to see an enormous monster looking down coldly at him.

"Now that's more like it!"

Liam calls out, waving, "Come, Armor!"

A pitch-black battle armor rushes over, breaking apart mid-air, pieces flying onto him, assembling one after another.

Liam clenches his fists, Tekkai ready.

B.I.B.'s eyes glow white, fists clenched, Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki) at the ready.
