Arthur's strength was nothing to scoff at. Caught off guard, the Lizard was kicked into a groove on the ground filled with various metal containers.

The Lizard quickly grabbed one and hurled it at Arthur.

As Arthur reached out to catch it, he shouted, "Retrieve!"

The container was swiftly absorbed into the Disassembler space.

Lizard, puzzled by the sudden disappearance of the metal container, was suddenly confronted by a massive spider descending from above.

Without a word, Lizard grabbed another container and threw it at Spider-Man.

Spider-Man kicked it away, sending the metal container crashing into a nearby iron pillar, which instantly exploded, spreading a white mist that instantly froze any metal it touched.

"Liquid nitrogen?" Arthur noted, his eyes scanning the area until he spotted a pipe connected to a device on the ground. Laughing maniacally, he exclaimed, "Who says I don't have control? Ice magic, anyone?"

In a flash, Arthur appeared beside the pipe, yanked it free, and aimed the now gushing liquid nitrogen at the Lizard.

Spider-Man, who had been struggling with the Lizard, saw Arthur approaching with a thick pipe emitting a mysterious white gas. He quickly jumped out of the way.

With no opponent in front of him, Lizard turned, only to be hit head-on by liquid nitrogen!

The substance froze Lizard's skin on contact.

However, his resilience was frightening. Even with his skin frozen, Lizard could still move. With a roar, he swung a massive claw at Arthur.

Spider-Man reacted quickly, launching a web that caught the Lizard's claw.

The combined forces caused the frozen claw to shatter.

However, a new claw quickly regenerated before their eyes. Spider-Man swooped in, firing a web that stuck to Lizard's newly formed claw. With a powerful yank, he caught the other claw as well, and the web poured out, binding Lizard's hands tightly together.

Seeing this, Arthur immediately discarded his "Ice Magic Item" and pulled the antidote Gwen had provided from the Disassembler Space, ready to inject Lizard.

Bang!

A gunshot suddenly rang out. Arthur and Spider-Man quickly dodged, only to see a middle-aged man in a police uniform appear out of nowhere. He held a shotgun and fired relentlessly at the Lizard.

"Is he trying to steal the kill? You're not going to get the MVP that way..." Arthur was annoyed when he saw this scene.

But despite his irritation, the real problem was that Lizard, who they had just managed to subdue, was now being shot at repeatedly. The gunfire melted the ice from Lizard's body, and in his struggle, he broke free of his restraints.

With a powerful leap, the Lizard landed on all fours and charged at the middle-aged officer with blinding speed.

The officer was stunned. What the hell was that?

Even one shot from his weapon would be fatal to a normal human, let alone so many. He stood there for a moment, dazed and unable to react.

"Are you here to steal kills or just to get yourself killed?" Arthur almost lost it. Spiderwebs flew through the air as Spider-Man launched a dozen webs at Lizard, binding him and pulling hard. But instead of knocking Lizard off his feet, he only managed to pull him back a few feet.

Lizard's sharp claws dug into the ground, puncturing it with large holes.

As Spider-Man struggled to pull Lizard back, a screeching sound echoed as deep grooves were carved into the ground.

The officer finally snapped out of it, quickly reloaded his shotgun and fired wildly at the Lizard!

Arthur immediately appeared in front of the officer and grabbed his gun. "I admire your bravery, but I don't appreciate your suicidal tendencies. Keep it up, and I'll report you to the police!!!"

With that, Arthur grabbed the officer by the collar and threw him away.

**At that moment, the Lizard broke free of Spider-Man's restraints and charged at Arthur... If Arthur hadn't knocked the middle-aged officer out of the way, he would have been facing a very angry Lizard!

The moment they met, Arthur was already prepared.

But to his surprise, the Lizard didn't even glance at him and instead rushed straight toward the middle-aged officer.

With his speed and proximity, the Lizard quickly grabbed the officer by the neck and lifted him effortlessly. He took two steps to the edge of the building and threatened, "Give me back the Ganali Device or I'll throw him off!"

Arthur turned to Spider-Man and asked, "Did you bring this teammate with you?"

Spider-Man was on the verge of tears as he spoke, "Think of something..."

"I have an idea!" Arthur replied. He pulled the Ganali Device out of the Disassembler Space and said, "One for one!"

The Lizard glared at Arthur intensely. "Come over here!"

Arthur glanced at Spider-Man before approaching the Lizard with the Ganali Device. As he set it down, Arthur grinned and asked, "Have you ever tried... bungee jumping?"

"What?"

Before the Lizard could understand, Arthur suddenly disappeared. In a flash, he reappeared right in front of Lizard and barged into him. Caught off guard, the Lizard let go of the middle-aged officer. He immediately tried to grab Arthur's shoulders and drag him away.

They were already at the edge of the building, and with the sudden impact, all three of them began to plummet.

"Noooooo..." Spider-Man shouted in alarm. He shot out his web, grabbed the officer and pulled him back up to the roof.

Without hesitation, Spider-Man then jumped off the edge and dove after them.

He was going to save Arthur!

But as he descended, he saw no sign of either Arthur or Lizard. He quickly shot out a dozen webs to halt his fall, hanging in mid-air as he scanned the ground. When he confirmed there were no signs of blood, he finally sighed in relief.

Meanwhile, at one of the windows of the OsCorp Industry building, Arthur stood and watched Spider-Man clinging to the side of the building. He felt a pang of emotion.

The kid didn't hesitate to jump down to save him. To be honest, **he** was the real hero.

As for Arthur... he wasn't one at all.

The moment he collided with Lizard, he had already injected the hidden antidote into the Lizard's body.

After the transformation wore off, Lizard reverted to Dr. Connors, just an ordinary man. It was easy for Arthur to retrieve him.

Then, using his ability to cross space, Arthur had quickly moved to this spot to take a breather.

And so, he ended up watching Spider-Man dive after him...
