Chapter 7 - Competition part 1

With just one day left before the grand competition, Arashi is pushing his limits in a grueling training session with his teammates. The sun blazes overhead, casting long shadows as they push through the relentless drills. Sweat pours down Arashi's face, his muscles screaming in protest, but he refuses to slow down. His focus is absolute, his mind set on the challenges ahead. Suddenly, Winston bursts onto the scene, his face a mix of excitement and disbelief.

"You're doing great! But have you heard about the winner's prize?" he asks, his voice almost breathless, eyes wide with intensity.

Arashi, panting and puzzled, wipes his brow and turns to face Winston. "What prize?" he asks, his curiosity piqued despite his exhaustion.

Winston's eyes widen even further in surprise. The idea that Arashi is competing without knowing the stakes is almost beyond belief. He takes a step closer, lowering his voice, "There will be three winning teams," he explains urgently. "The first-place team gets 100,000 S gems, the second gets 50,000 A gems, and the third gets 30,000 S gems. Each member of the team receives that amount of gems."

Arashi's eyes light up with a fierce, newfound determination. He clenches his fists, feeling a surge of energy despite his fatigue. "Leave everything to my master plan," he declares confidently, his voice steady and resolute.

Winston smiles approvingly, but as he turns away, his demeanor shifts. His face darkens, worry lines creasing his brow. He mutters to himself, "Why is he back? I don't have time for this."

The scene shifts dramatically to the competition. The atmosphere is electric, charged with anticipation. Spectators fill a special train designed to travel alongside the course, ensuring they don't miss a single moment of the action. The starting gunshot echoes through the air, and the crowd roars with excitement.

The first challenge for Arashi's team is a 1-kilometer dash through a dense, treacherous jungle. Three cages of savage, raging dog-like creatures are released in pursuit, their snarls echoing through the trees. Flying or floating is strictly off-limits, adding to the peril of the task.

Arashi, Johnny, and June sprint in a straight line, their hearts pounding. They know that any deviation could mean disaster. The jungle is a maze of obstacles, vines, and roots threatening to trip them at every step. Arashi quickly assesses their surroundings and shouts, "Get rubber-made sandals!"

The twins, Johnny and June, quickly use their powers to coat the obstacles with bubbles, making them slick and treacherous. The trio slips through the jungle like shadows, their sandals allowing them to glide over the treacherous surfaces with the grace of dancers.

Behind them, the creatures slip and tumble, unable to gain traction on the slippery ground. The team's strategy pays off, and they reach the checkpoint, where they quickly gulp down energy drinks and rest for a tense 15 minutes. Every second counts, and the clock is ticking.

But there's no time to relax. The next phase hurls them into a wide, open field, the sun beating down mercilessly. The creatures, relentless in their pursuit, leap towards them with terrifying speed. But Arashi is ready. He unleashes his Electro Impact, a powerful kick that sends shockwaves through his leg. The creatures' brains are rattled by the force, and they crash to the ground in a daze.

The team presses on, Arashi's relentless drive carrying them forward. His mind races with strategies, every muscle in his body coiled like a spring ready to explode into action. On the spectator train, Winston watches, impressed by Arashi's ingenuity and resolve. But as he gazes at the unfolding drama, a sense of foreboding hangs heavy in the air. The competition is far from over, and the shadows of unseen challenges loom ever closer.

The crowd's cheers seem distant as Arashi and his team push forward. Good times, after all, never last for long. Dark clouds gather on the horizon, hinting at the trials yet to come. The path ahead is fraught with danger, and Arashi knows that the true test of their strength and unity is only just beginning...
