At the same time, Elena stood in front of the mirror in her room, worriedly examining a golden streak of hair that had appeared out of nowhere. She hurriedly went out and grabbed her phone to make a call. The phone was answered in just three rings by a young man who appeared to be in his early 30s.
"Hello, Elle, how are you?" he greeted.
"Brother Kevin, please give the phone to Master. It's urgent," Elena replied, her tone anxious.
Kevin instantly became alert and asked worriedly, "What happened?"
"The seal is wearing out much earlier than Master mentioned, and now my powers are coming back. I don't know if this is good or bad."
"Wait a second. I'll get him," Kevin said. Elena heard some noises in the background, and after a few seconds, Master Kai Von answered the call in a caring tone.
"Elle, how are you? Did you have breakfast?"
"Greetings, Master. I'm doing well, but I have not yet had my breakfast. I will have it in some time."
"You should not skip your breakfast"
"Yes master I won't"
"Humm, so why did you call me?"
"Master there is a small issue but I don't know if it's something to be worried about or not so I called you"
Master Kai became instantly alert and asked in a serious tone, "What happened, dear?"
"This morning, after I woke up, I saw a streak of hair had turned back to golden, which means my power is coming back. But it is too early this time compared to previous occasions and your estimated time. Will everything be okay, Master, or is the seal broken somehow?"
Master Kai thought for some time and then instead of answering asked her a question "Why do you think it's broken? Did something happen recently?"
"Elle, what happened?"
"I... I was…" Elena stammered "I was attacked by the Knights of Gantrick recently… and I was poisoned by dragon poison during this attack."
"What? How dare they lay hands on my only disciple?" Master Kai Von exclaimed, completely angered.
Listening to the anger in his voice Elena continued in a meek voice "And I think my powers forced itself to break the seal due to my serious state at that time to protect me".
Instead of answering Elena's question Master Kai turned to Kevin standing next to him and asked, "Why was I not informed about Elle being poisoned?"
Kevin just bent his head guiltily. Before Master Kai could speak more, he heard Elena's voice from the phone.
"Please don't scold Brother Kevin, Master. It was I who forced him to keep this information from you because I didn't want you to worry since I was completely fine."
Master Kai went silent for a few seconds, clenching his free hand into a fist as he closed his eyes and tried some breathing exercises to calm his anger.
