At the same time in the flower garden, Sapphire was walking around with Alina, who had woken her up early that morning to show her around the palace. Sapphire had been reluctant at first but couldn't say no to the young girl when she saw Alina's pleading, puppy-like expression.
"Sister Sapphire, do you think I can find a nice dragon friend like you as my familiar?"
"You haven't contracted a dragon yet?" Sapphire asked, surprised as every dragon warrior typically contracts a familiar by the age of ten.
"It's not that I haven't had the opportunity to sign a contract with a dragon. It's just that I haven't found one that feels right for me. It's just…" Alina trailed off.
Sapphire sighed and placed a comforting hand on Alina's shoulder. "Don't worry, you'll find the right familiar. If I get the chance, I'll introduce you to my cousins. You can see if you can form a soul bond like mine and my master's."
"Really?" Alina's eyes sparkled with hope.
Sapphire nodded with a smile. Alina hugged her tightly, saying, "Thank you so much, sister Sapphire."
Sapphire hugged the young girl back but at that moment she noticed a few people running hurriedly. "Why are they running like that?"
Alina looked back. "I don't know… come on, let's ask someone."
They reached the corridor and stopped a dragon warrior who was heading to the west wing. "Where is everyone going in such a hurry?"
"Little princess, you don't know?" Alina furrowed her eyebrows.
Seeing this, the dragon warrior cleared his throat and explained, "Princess Tressa and that human girl are having a sword fight in the training room. We're all going to watch as we've never seen a human fight before, and we're curious about their skills."
Once the dragon warrior shared this information, Alina let him go and turned to Sapphire. "This evil sister of mine is surely doing this to bully sister Lea. Please help her, sister Sapphire."
"How can I help with this?" Sapphire asked, puzzled.
"You can… If I speak up, they'll silence me because I'm still young. But you know Master Kai Von, my evil sister has to listen to you." Looking at Sapphire still standing silently Alina added.
"You don't understand, sister Sapphire. That good-for-nothing sister of mine might not be a good person, but she's really skilled with swords. She's one of the best in our kingdom.
Sister Lea is just a normal human. How can she fight my sister? I'm sure Tressa tricked innocent sister Lea into this match just to bully her. Please help sister Lea, sister Sapphire."
Sapphire was shocked by Alina's words as she thought to herself "Innocent? My master? Hahaha… I'm sure it was my master who tricked that girl into this fight,".
Sapphire shook her head to clear her thoughts and said to Alina, "First, let's go see what's going on. Then we can decide if my help is needed."
Alina nodded eagerly and led the way to the training room, with Sapphire following closely behind.
