Chapter 44 - Chapter 44

Later that day Lea woke up after a nice nap, to the smell of coffee.

As she slowly opened her eyes she saw a young lady standing facing her back towards Lea as she was pouring a cup of coffee on the table.

As Lea was wondering who this was the girl turned towards her and said "You are awake, I bought some coffee for you".

Lea just nodded with a small smile on her face as she realized this was the same person who walked out of her room without speaking a word in the morning.

"How many cubs?" The girl asked pointing towards the sugar cubs pot on the trey.

"Two please," Lea answered.

Then she gave the coffee to Lea and sat down on the chair next to the bed with a glass of coffee for herself in her hand.

"Sorry for the way I behaved in the morning," The girl said a bit embarrassed.

"No worries," Lea said with a smile still on her face and then added, "But I am just a bit curious, why did you walk away from the room after giving me water in the morning?".

The girl sighed and said with a bit of sadness "I was just startled when I saw your eyes… it looks so much like my sisters".

"Your sister?" Lea asked confused.

"Yes, we lost her when she was three years old… it's just that in our world our eye colors are determined by our powers and you are the second person I have seen with that kind of blue eyes".

"Ho…" Lea nodded in understanding as she remembered the conversation she had with Liam before the attack where he also mentioned a girl with similar eyes as her.

Lea was brought out of her thought as she heard the girl speak again "How foolish of me I speaking to you so much and have not yet introduced myself"

Then she extended her hand with a smile on her face for a handshake, "I am Alisha, Princess of Asterin".

Listening to her words Lea was startled for a second before she blurted out "You are Aunt Elizabeth's daughter?" and then remembering her mistake she immediately shook the extended hand a bit embarrassed as she apologized.

Alisha just smiled and said "No worries… and yes I am her daughter.

"I… I did not mean to…I just" Lea stammered.

"Did not I say don't worry, Mom told me about your true identity, your secret is safe with me" Alisha said as she placed her other hand on Lea's hand that was holding hers with a smile on her face.

Listening to this Lea was surprised, "She told you?".

Alisha nodded and answered, "Yes, as I am next in line to the thrown she shares most of the important matters related to the kingdom's safety with me"

Lea nodded in understanding.

After that, Lea and Alisha joyfully talked about any random things they could think of like old friends who met after a long time. By the time they realized, the sun was setting outside.

"God we have been talking for so long," Alisha commented looking at the sky outside the window.

"Yes, even I did not realize that it's been so long" Lea also added.

"So Elle if you are feeling better tomorrow let's go shopping as it does not sound appropriate to go back to the human world just to get clothes or to ask uncle to send it" Alisha suggested.

"If that's fine with you I have no issues" Lea agreed happily.

"Then it's set," Alisha said happily.

Just then they heard a familiar voice ask "What is set?".

As both the girls turned their heads toward the voice, they saw Liam walking through the door with Allen by his side.
