The Next Day at Princeton University....
The campus was bustling with energy. It was the start of a new year, and many new faces, filled with enthusiasm or nervousness, were entering the college gates. Colorful decorations adorned the grounds to welcome the newcomers.
Vickey, Jude, Lily, Alex, and Jenny sat on the lawn near the parking lot, where they had a clear view of everyone arriving. Jenny and Jude were having fun teasing some freshers, while Vickey was busy checking out the new girls.
"Dude, I am so disappointed. I can't find a single good-looking face this year. All the pretty and sexy girls are taken even before coming to college. This is the worst thing ever. Why does this happen to me? Do you think I might be cursed or something?" Vickey complained.
Smack!
"Will you stop doing that every time? That really hurts," Vickey said, rubbing his arm.
"I can't help it. It's the only way to discipline you. Stop your nonsense about girls and do something useful," Lily retorted.
"That's right, listen to her," Ria said as she and Rayan joined the group. "You guys can go," Rayan told the freshers being bullied by Jenny and Jude.
"Hey, what is this, Rayan? You always do this. We were just starting to have some fun," Jenny and Jude protested.
Rayan ignored their complaints and asked Alex, "Where's Liam?"
Just then, a new sports bike roared into view, entering the college gate. The rider parked in the parking space and removed his helmet. As he ran his hands through his silky black hair, his violet eyes sparkled in the sunlight. As he walked towards his friends, someone called out to him from behind—it was Tressa, the college queen.
She was a beautiful young woman with a supermodel figure, standing at 5'8" with golden curly hair and a fair complexion. She always looked perfect, as if she had just stepped out of a spa. All the guys in college were desperate for her attention, but she was crazy about Liam.
"Hey, Liam, how have you been? It was a long summer break this time," Tressa said.
"It surely was, but I enjoyed it a lot. Did you need something?" Liam asked.
"Ha... nothing, just wanted to say 'Hi' since we all just got back from our holidays," Tressa said.
"Okay, then, I'll take my leave. I'm late for class, and my friends are waiting," Liam replied, walking away.
"Yeah, sure, bye. I need to get to class too," Tressa said awkwardly, waving as Liam left.
"You know, right? He just ran away from you, making an excuse," Kira, Tressa's best friend, commented as she approached.
Tressa turned to Kira with an evil smile. "I know, but how long can he keep running? During the holidays, I heard our mothers talking about how we're a good match and that they should try to speak to us about getting engaged."
"It's just a matter of time, and I'm going to make sure I'm his only option," Tressa said with a wicked grin.
"Wow, girl, that's great. I'm happy for you," Kira said as they walked away, both smiling.
