I seemed to get the hang of the area since I successfully led myself to the dining room, I wondered since they are princes do they have crowns and a throne room, that would be so cool. As I entered the room I found all the demon brothers on their seats all waiting for me as I saw Larkin smiling at me nervously, I saw Azrael removing something from his pocket and it turned out to be a pocket watch
"Exactly twenty-five minutes and thirty-six seconds late, what do you have to say for yourself?!" Azrael said trying to keep his cool
'oh so that was the issue being late, his statement made everyone look at me Oh my God, this is so embarrassing, I was struggling to come up with a reasonable answer'
"Well, you see... I, um, got lost trying to find my way here," I confessed, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks.
*Calmly breathing in* " Well try not to make it a habit, you may have your seat."
'Was this how Larkin and Abraxas felt yesternight, this is so embarrassing not even a good morning, and speaking of Abraxas isn't this partially his fault making it his fault for being late but he arrived early at the table you nitwit, okay I blame myself for being late, I saw an empty spot next to Xavian who was sleeping at the table, at least he won't be a bother'
"Breakfast is ready," Kazimir exclaimed rather too loudly, startling everyone as he dramatically burst open the door entering like a god an array of dishes following him behind him
Kazimir, the culinary wizard of the demon realm, unveiled his latest masterpiece, that's what I'll call him from now on—a breakfast feast that promised to tantalize the taste buds and awaken the senses in ways we never thought possible.
First, he presented a towering stack of fluffy demon pancakes, each one golden brown and dripping with melted butter and rich maple syrup. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water, and as I took my first bite, I was transported to a realm of pure bliss.
But the indulgence didn't stop there. Next to the pancakes lay a platter of sizzling demon bacon, its smoky aroma filling the room and beckoning us closer. Crispy and succulent, each strip was a symphony of flavour—salty, savoury, and utterly irresistible.
And as if that weren't enough, Kazimir had prepared a feast of savoury delights—a skillet of perfectly cooked demon eggs, scrambled to creamy perfection and seasoned with fragrant herbs and spices. With each forkful, I revelled in the rich, velvety texture and the explosion of flavour that danced on my tongue.
But perhaps the pièce de résistance was the steaming cauldron of demon coffee that awaited us—a dark, bold brew that promised to jolt one awake and set one's spirits ablaze. With each sip, I felt the caffeine coursing through my veins, fueling my body and sharpening my senses for the day ahead.
And to balance the richness of the meal, Kazimir had prepared a refreshing array of tropical fruits—juicy pineapple, tangy mango, and succulent papaya—all bursting with vibrant colour and natural sweetness. Each bite was a burst of sunshine, a refreshing palate cleanser that left me craving more.
As we sat around the table, savouring every mouthful and revelling in the joy of good food and good company, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the culinary genius of Kazimir. Truly, it was a breakfast fit for kings—a feast that would linger in my memories long after the last crumb had been devoured.
"Wow Kaz you never cease to amaze me, that's why you are my favourite brother, this is so delicious," Larkin exclaimed happily
"This is so delicious Kazimir in my entire life I've never tasted anything like this and this is so..so divine," I said sincerely
Azrael nodded in agreement, a rare smile gracing his lips. "Indeed, Kazimir. Your culinary skills never cease to amaze me. It's truly a feast fit for royalty."
Xavian, ever the laid-back brother, leaned back in his chair with a satisfied grin. "I've been dreaming about those pancakes all night. You've outdone yourself, Kazimir."
Malphus, usually one to keep his opinions to himself, couldn't help but express his admiration. "I must admit, Kazimir, I had my doubts. But this... this is perfection."
"Is the food to your liking Valin," Kazimir asked expectantly to Valin, he subtly glanced at Kazimir and then proceeded to take another bite
"I'll take that as a yes.' He said excitedly as he went to kiss his cheek happily as the others laughed
Valin rubbed the part where Kazimir kissed him as he gave him a snake eye, "Dare do that and I'll turn you into a frog."
"I'll be the prettiest frog and I'll get to kiss all the beautiful lady frogs," Abraxas said in a sweet voice
"That is disgusting Abraxas, have a hold of yourself, besides you kissed one frog in the morning," Malphus said eying me
'What the hell is referring to me as a frog.' I glared at him wishing I could pounce on him and wipe off that smug face of his face the last thing I needed was Malphus making veiled insults at my expense.
"Wait he did kiss a frog? What was it like Kaz" Larkin asked curiously
"It wasn't a frog," Kazimir replied with a chuckle, shooting a playful wink in my direction. "But I'll be sure to let you know if anything develops."
Abraxas, undeterred by my icy glare, turned his attention back to me with a sheepish grin. "Can you blame me for looking at you like that? After all, you're quite the catch," he said, his voice dripping with charm.
I rolled my eyes at his shameless flirting, resisting the urge to roll up my sleeves and give him a piece of my mind. "Just keep your romantic fantasies to yourself, Abraxas," I retorted, my tone laced with annoyance. "And stop giving everyone the wrong idea." as I said these I heard laughs from the table and some amusement faces from some
Abraxas, undeterred by my sharp words, flashed me a grin that could charm the pants off of anyone. "Ah, Estelle, my dear, you wound me with your rejection," he replied with mock hurt, his voice dripping with exaggerated melodrama. "But fear not, for even the mightiest of oaks must bend to the wind. And I, my dear, am nothing if not adaptable."
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes again at his theatricality, crossing my arms over my chest with a huff. "Save your poetic nonsense for someone who actually cares, Abraxas," I shot back, my irritation mounting with each word. "Your charms may work on other girls, but I'm not interested in being another notch on your belt."
His grin only widened at my defiance, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Ah, but Estelle, you misunderstand," he replied smoothly, leaning back in his chair with all the confidence of a seasoned flirt. "I don't seek to add notches to my belt. No, I seek something far more elusive—the thrill of the chase, the challenge of winning over a heart as stubborn and fiery as yours."
I scoffed at his audacity, shaking my head in disbelief. "You've got quite the imagination, Abraxas," I muttered under my breath, feeling a pang of annoyance at his relentless pursuit. "But trust me, there's nothing here for you to win."
"I never knew breakfast could be this entertaining," Larkin whispered at Xavian who was equally staring at them
"It's better than to hear of Azrael's Poetry book, Odes to Eternal Misery, we would be having breakfast as he chanted about it, don't even start where we left off at verse two," Xavian lamented, his misery palpable as Valin nodded in solemn agreement beside him.
"Ah, but fear not, my dear brothers," Azrael declared with a flourish, his voice ringing with enthusiasm as he scared everyone at the table. "I shall regale you all with the wondrous tales of 'Odes to Eternal Misery' on our journey to the academy. And fear not Estelle, we shall start from verse one, so you won't miss a single moment of the agony!"
Why did everyone's faces turn pale with dread is this a good thing or a bad thing, I glanced at everyone's faces at the table and looked horrified before Azrael who looked as happy as ever.
I apologize for missing the mark. Let's try a different approach:
"Alright, my esteemed comrades, breakfast time is officially concluded. Let's make our way swiftly to the vehicle before we inadvertently showcase our tardiness. After all, as leaders, it falls upon us to exemplify punctuality and diligence." Azrael's words carried the weight of authority, as he said all this, the others proceeded to carry their stuff as they all headed out of the room.
