Chapter Two
The Strange Black Pyramid
Oliver felt extreme panic. A demon, not I, a human. How did he become such a terrifying demon?
A deep fear surged between his eyes. He cast a glance at his body and took a deep breath, sighing. He found himself unharmed, unchanged.
When he witnessed the negative effects, he thought he had become a demon.
This world had undergone a major invasion by demons. Each demon was terrifyingly powerful, with strange abilities and talents that were difficult to confront and predict.
If it weren't for the protection and resilience of the higher tribes, the second half of this world, inhabited by humans, would have been invaded.
The demons first appeared 100,000 years ago, penetrating
the dimensions of this world and distorting them. This was followed by the appearance of spatial rifts, turning the sky into shattered glass.
Nine terrifying demons emerged from these rifts:
- The Tormentor (Extinction Rank)
- The Red Lotus (Extinction Rank)
- The Void (Extinction Rank)
- The Red Star (Extinction Rank)
- The Chaos Prophet (Extinction Rank)
- The Soul (Extinction Rank)
- The Fallen (Extinction Rank)
- The Deprived Slayer (Extinction Rank)
- The Sinful (Extinction Rank)
With millions and billions of terrifying demons beneath them,
it was a bygone era, with the smell of blood and the screams of despair lingering to our present age. At the end of this war,
they were confronted by six esteemed individuals of the ninth rank, and a large barrier was created to separate
the first half from the second half, protecting the world from the destruction caused by these terrifying demons. The horrific price of this war was the sacrifice of two of the esteemed individuals. Fortunately, over the past 100,000 years,
the barrier remained unbroken and resilient. This thick barrier allowed sufficient time for the emergence of revered talents, one after another, to protect the world.
His mother was one of them, belonging to the newly established ninth rank, which broke through this level, earning her the title of the Mysterious Revered Origin. Who is the revered one?
It is the highest rank in this world, which does not appear for tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years, depending on the will of the sky itself.
The powers in this world are divided into:
1. First Rank (Physical Condensation)
2. Second Rank (Ascension)
3. Third Rank (Life Destruction)
4. Fourth Rank (Life Ascension)
5. Fifth Rank (Ancient Enlightened Ones)
6. Sixth Rank (Immortal)
7. Seventh Rank (Red Immortal)
8. Eighth Rank (Immortal Ruin)
9. Ninth Rank (Revered)
Each stage is divided into four levels:
- Low Level
- Medium Level
- High Level
- Ideal Level
Oliver rose and rubbed his back after sleeping for 5 years, but there was no progress in his training, or rather,
he was preoccupied with thoughts of his mother, how to attract her attention.
[Character comprehension]
[Yes/No]
This message appeared in Oliver's young mind: Will he become a demon when he accepts comprehension?
An idea emerged in his mind: Will he attract his mother's attention when he becomes strong? But what if she knew he had become a demon?
His mother appeared, with a perfect, unpolished jade-like appearance.
Her golden flowing hair reached her hips, and her attractive black eyes sparkled with red irises. His obsession and strong,
terrifying love for her grew. If love had levels like in games, this young boy would easily surpass level 100.
"I'm here, admit my existence," he said with misty, wandering eyes before pressing 'Yes' for comprehension.
"Yes, I want to comprehend the character."
[Character comprehension completed]
Oliver felt extreme drowsiness before he fell asleep beside the waterfall nearby.

Oliver woke up to find the sky dark,
with pale stars above him. Those radiant celestial lights he was accustomed to were gone, replaced by dim candles flickering in a stormy night. Despite the looming clouds,
the stars remained fixed in their place, as if watching over his deep slumber, which had lasted longer than it should have.
Oliver noticed changes within himself. He saw everything differently—the stars, the sky, the earth, the mountains, and even the rivers.
He looked up at the sky and noticed that the shimmering stars seemed strange. Instead of shining confidently as usual, they appeared to tremble in fear from his looming gaze.
Every part of this nightly scene felt afraid of Oliver's presence, as if he were the absolute darkness that swallowed everything around him.
He glanced at his reflection in the waterfall—a young boy with snow-white hair and clear black eyes as deep as the abyss, unable to see their depth. Would they lead to...?
Is this strand due to character comprehension? Oliver had barely comprehended his inner feelings about his transformation when he felt a searing sting deep in his stomach.
Mysterious pains pricked his abdomen. In an attempt to explore the source of this suffering, Oliver stared intently at his pale white belly.
To his surprise, he glimpsed a strange entity moving inside - a black pyramid-like creature with six closed eyes. "Is this a tattoo? How strange!
It can move," Oliver felt puzzled. He didn't realize he wasn't afraid of these strange and grotesque shapes. He looked at himself and found that he had broken through the first rank,
the physical condensation stage, and entered a higher rank after being stuck at the low level. The second rank, ascension,
is amazing! It will surely attract my mother's attention. I'm sure she'll be amazed and praise me. "Hahaha!"
A loud laugh erupted from Oliver's mouth. Oliver returned to the palace late. He had been exploring his new powers.
He truly felt like a transcendent being; everything around him felt different. Even if he didn't return to the palace, no one would care.
Human servants were arranged to meet his needs, and he was neglected in this deserted area. Should I visit my sister? Oliver thought to himself.
His sister was a small version of his mother. He loved her very much,
but he didn't know why she always treated him with such harsh and cold demeanor.
Will she hit me? Oliver wondered to himself. Certainly, especially if she's contemplating in her own cave.
He had been forbidden and warned several times from visiting her, but now, from the second rank of ascension, he felt a little more confident.
Well, let's go.
