Emerald Kingdom soldiers could faintly hear footsteps approaching. Seki had turned his attention from them to the direction of those footsteps as his lips curled creepily into a smile that sent chills down their spines.
The rain clashing against the raging flames had created a layer of smoke through the sky. But they then saw a shining break through the smoke. A light of silver, generated by the intense focus of an ally whose presence could be felt before their eyes could see him.
The smoke cover broke revealing his slim but muscular figure. Following behind him was a frail but powerful-looking girl with bright red hair, its color dampened by the rain.
" That's Zack." A wounded soldier muttered as he clenched his body wound. " The prodigy...And that girl-"
