Bulcke stood over Thasher with a wide grin showing his shark-like teeth. His sword rested atop his right shoulder as he watched the blood leak from Thasher. He had been cut across his stomach and was losing blood quickly.
Worse than that, however, his heightened state of focus that gave birth to his massive increase in speed and reaction time had worn off. Still, it remained improved but not to the level it was earlier.
Calin watched from a distance. Her words had been brought forth into facts. He was no match for Bulcke even with his heightened state of focus...Bulcke was one of the 8 Deadly Swordmen after all. Within their ranks, he sits almost directly in the middle regarding strength. Between the swordmen that's not too impressive but among normal soldiers...That's an incredible feat.
