Dante's POV
"Ashley!" I screamed as she jumped off the cliff. I wasn't going to lose her.
I took a deep breath and jumped after her, crashing down. "Ashley!" I roared, causing the birds to leave their nests.
I didn't know what to do or how to feel. There was no trace of Ashley or anything. It was difficult for me to process everything. She couldn't have taken off without leaving traces, and if she didn't survive, where was her body?
Since her wolf had become very active now, she was supposed to survive the fall, or at least suffer a few injuries or bruises.
"Ashley!" I cried out again, but the only response I got was silence.
I strolled around the cliff, going further into the dark forest. I wasn't afraid; the only fear I had was not being able to find Ashley, or worse, believing she didn't survive the fall.
I kept on looking for Ashley, and when I felt weak, I decided to take a little rest under a tree but dozed off.
Beep beep.
