Chapter 18 - Good Kisser

"Not bad!" Griselda exclaimed, her smile widening.

"Definitely better than expected," she added, a playful lilt in her voice.

With a glint in her eye, she turned towards the bathroom.

"How about a bath first?" she suggested, already reaching for the plush white towels.

"The night air is starting to feel a bit chilly, wouldn't you agree?"

Adonis couldn't help but nod, his gaze lingering on her retreating figure. There was a certain allure to her confidence, the way she took charge without a second thought. He sank onto the bed, retrieving a cigarette from his pack. The smoke curled up towards the ceiling, a silent observer to the anticipation simmering in the air.

Just a few minutes later, the bathroom door creaked open. Griselda emerged, a vision in the soft glow of the lamplight. The towel draped loosely around her slender form, leaving much to the imagination. Adonis, despite his usual stoicism, felt a jolt course through him. She was far more beautiful than he had anticipated even in disguise, her features sharpened by the steamy bath, her eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint.

The look on his face – a mixture of surprise and appreciation – didn't escape Griselda's notice. A satisfied smile played on her lips. Every woman craved a little appreciation, a confirmation of their beauty.

"Your turn," she purred, her voice a husky whisper.

"The bath's calling."

Adonis rose. He winked at her before disappearing into the steamy confines of the bathroom. The clawfoot bathtub beckoned, promising a moment of relaxation before the real heat of the night began.

Moments later, the door creaked open again. This time, it was Adonis' turn to surprise Griselda. The towel hung low on his hips, revealing a sculpted torso honed by years of training, taking care of his body. His six-pack abs gleamed in the lamplight, a testament to his physical prowess.

Griselda's breath hitched in her throat. Even she wasn't expecting this. A surprised gasp escaped her lips, but it quickly morphed into laughter. Adonis, caught mid-flex (a playful attempt to add to her amusement), couldn't help but chuckle in response.

"You are funny, you know that?" she said, wiping a tear from her eye.

"Most men wouldn't dare act so goofy."

Adonis grinned. "I guess I don't like to take things too seriously," he replied, joining her on the bed.

"Besides," he added, a hint of amusement in his voice, "I heard laughter is the best medicine."

As he settled beside her, a comfortable silence settled between them. The playful tension that had filled the room moments ago gave way to a newfound sense of ease. They were two strangers, brought together by chance, yet there was a spark – a connection that transcended words. The night was young, and in the confines of this unexpected haven, they were ready to see where it would lead.

In one smooth motion, Adonis surprised Griselda with a gentle push onto the bed. He hovered above her for a moment, his gaze holding hers. A silent question hung in the air, an invitation readily accepted by the widening of her eyes and the slight parting of her lips.

Their kiss was a collision of desires. Adonis, the practiced charmer, poured his charm into the kiss, exploring her lips with a practiced ease that sent shivers down her spine.

''!"

His hands, strong and calloused, found purchase on her back, drawing her closer.

Griselda, initially surprised, melted into the kiss. She responded to his passion with equal fervor, her own hidden fire igniting beneath his touch. Her fingers tangled in his hair, deepening the kiss, a silent plea for more. They were a whirlwind of limbs and heated whispers, the playful banter of moments ago replaced by an urgent need for each other.

The air in the room crackled with a raw energy, fueled by stolen glances and unspoken promises. The night, once filled with uncertainty, now pulsed with a single purpose – the fulfillment of their desires in this unexpected haven.

''Mmhhm!"

They continued kissing passionately. Griselda felt something she had never felt before while kissing.

She felt like she finally those lines uttered by her favorite character in a romance novel.

''His kiss is not at all the same as those movie stars, but one steeped in a passion that ignites. It is the promise of realness, of the primal desire that lives in us all. And with it he tells me that he is awake, connected within, that he embraces himself rather than hide as a copy of those romantic idols.''

'I understand now Griselda, what a nice experience, so good that I might fall for him.' she thought, by the way she used that personnage name as a fake name.

Their kissing continued until they stopped out of breath.

''Huff! Huff!"

''You are such good kisser, Nero!" she admitted and Adonis smiled eyeing her like a predator before his prey.

Gulp!

She gulped, his hungry's eyes send jolt of electricity coursing through her. This was so exciting.

''Shall we continue kissing?, I haven't had enough." Adonis said with a smile, Griselda couldn't refuse, so the two resumed kissing.
