In a forest, a man was sitting by a lake with a huge roasted fish next to him.
"Hatsu," I thought. "It was during my first kill in a hunt against a Nen user, when I killed the Nen user running an illegal organ trade center, that I acquired my Nen ability in specialization. Every time I killed someone, I stole between 1 and 10% of their Nen, like a game. To me, their lives were just 'XP.'"
From what I understand, this works only on Nen users. Non-Nen users don't give me anything. As for my Hatsu, it's based on manipulation. I've had this idea for a while, which is why I started training with a sword and increasing my En zone to 50 meters. In my zone, everything I touch is inverted laterally to make the effect stronger and harder to deal with. I made a vow:
In my Zone Reverse, all perception is inverted for those trapped within it. Up becomes down, left becomes right, front and back merge, turning every movement into a source of total confusion. The closer an opponent gets to me, the more these inversions affect their five senses.
My sword, though imposing, causes no physical damage unless I utter the words "Risk or Chance." In this state, each strike only serves to invert the sensations and movements of the body parts it touches.
If I strike the right arm, the left arm will move in its place. If I strike the same spot twice, the damage done in the same place after multiplying it by 3 .
But here lies the true terror of my ability: as soon as I say the word "Misfortune," my sword regains its sharpness.
.If they flee outside my zone, they will slowly recover their sensations, but the lingering confusion may leave them vulnerable.
It's time to test all of this, I said as I headed to one of the meeting points to pick up missions and turn in items and jenis.
"Bari, hey, I'm back in one piece," I said.
"Shit, still not dead? How was the last mission?" Bari replied.
"Good. I got everything you asked for. The lab was reported, and here's the head," I said, tossing the bag to him while pulling out the research files.
"Does this match?" he asked, examining the decapitated head.
" you've improved with your sword. This is clean. One day, I'll send you to decapitate one of those guys," I said, looking in the direction Bari pointed, noticing some big shots.
"I don't plan on dying, old man. What do you have for me?" I said.
Bari replied, "We've got everything, but we have thieves who stole a jewel from one of the richest people in the world's house. 120 million jenis to return the jewel, and 3 million more for each thief you bring back alive. There's a serial killer who collects the front teeth of his victims, 50 million jenis. An explorer found a fortune in the catacombs, killed his teammates, and disappeared into the air. One of them survived despite his injuries. To catch this guy, he's offering 80 million jenis dead or life. And then there's..."
"I see you've got work for me. I'll take the mission of the explorer. Any clue where he is?" I asked.
Bari replied, "Yeah, we think he's in Gortal City, near some illegal zones."
"I see, thanks for the info. I'll be back soon, old man," I said.
"Go to hell, brat," Bari said with a smile.
It's been six months since I've been separated from my friends. I hope they're making progress. If they're playing at an arcade, I'll destroy them.
Amori and Umori felt a chill run through them, which was normal since they were training on a snowy mountain.
Umori: "I feel strangely targeted."
Imori: "Me too, but I don't detect any enemies around. It must be from overtraining. Your Hatsu ability is dangerous for your enemies, but also for you and your allies."
Umori: "I know, but it's amazing, right? I focus my Nen into my fist and unleash all my power, creating a shock like an earthquake. When I strike mountains, they collapse, but I want to see the effect on living beings."
Imori: "Soon, we'll be at the Celestial Tower in two months to test our progress. After that, we'll start group hunts against stronger Nen users. That's the plan."
Umori: "I know, but I can't wait. Your ability is really annoying to develop."
Imori: "Don't say that, it's hard for me too. The pain at the beginning was brutal. Soaking your Nen in ice was one of the worst pains of my life. My limbs turned blue and black if I didn't circulate my Nen properly."
Umori: "I'm glad I didn't do that. Self-inflicted pain isn't my thing. I prefer a real fight for that. At least you don't risk dying from the cold, that's something."
Imori: "And you think it's my thing? But hey, if it's to get stronger, then screw it. Let's keep training to survive in this cruel world. Hahaha!"
Point of View of Amori:
It's been two weeks of tracking, and I've finally found them. Now that they're heading towards the forest, I need to eliminate them as quickly as possible. Who am I fooling? He's my test subject for my Hatsu.
