[Third POV]
After making a mental note to return and ask Wan Shi Tong his questions, Solon exited the library and tried to teleport directly to the village he was currently staying at.
To his surprise he found himself unable to teleport.
'Must be some kind of barrier around the library. You really can't underestimate high-level spirits.' He thought surprised at the power of the barrier.
Immediately after he started walking away from the library hoping to exit the barrier and teleport back.
After walking for about 2 kilometer, he once again tried to teleport himself in the village yet he once again was unable to do so.
'If I am unable to teleport from here it means the problem is in the destination not my surroundings.' He thought as he tried to teleport to progressively larger distances from his initial destination.
After a while he managed to teleport himself to the forest northwest of the village. From there he started walking south.
The forest unlike other times was dead silent, no birds chirping, or animals walking as if everything left. Most trees looked the same but a small number of the was on the ground as if someone forcefully ripped them from the ground and threw them aside.
Small pieces of fur and clothes were thrown around here and there while everyday things were on the ground broken. As if someone left in a hurry, not carrying about their survival once they left the forest.
Solon started getting worried, not about humans but for his shop. It wasn't some kind of huge and sophisticated place, but it was something he built on his own.
As he got closer to the village his nose picked up the smell of blood. It wasn't heavy, just a light smell of iron disrupting the nature around him.
What was worring was that he was not even close to the village. If he could smell the blood from here something major must have happened in the newly created town.
While getting closer to the village, Solon noticed a weird fact. The space around him was getting more chaotic the closer he got.
'That must be the reason I can't teleport directly in my shop.' He thought as he decided to take this rare chance to observe the concept of space itself.
He stopped walking, ignored the smell of blood and took out a notebook he got from the library. It had billions of empty books and Wan Shi Tong gave him about 10 thousand of them in excange for some knowledge about particles.
Solon could of course create infinite of them throught the record but he wanted to help Wan Shi Tong with his dream to obtain every piece of knowledge. He considered that owl a friend after all, even if they never actually talked to each other.
While Solon studied the space around him, he felt someone or something entering closing in on him.
'What is that?' He questioned himself as he used his senses to try and define what the nature of the being was.
'It's energy feels weird, destructive even as if it only exists to destroy everything that exists and goes against it.' He thought as he put his notebook inside his bag and turned towards the creature.
Before he could see clearly what it was, he saw a shadow rushing towards him while a set of sharp teeth that gleamed due to the sun aimed for him head.
Solon immediately used his power to slow down the time around him while at the same time increace his thinking speed.
He slowly raised his hand and touched lightly the figure.
After that he stopped slowing time down, which lead to the spirit being thrown away with immense speed, hiting and breaking multiple trees as it was flying.
After getting closer to the spirit he finaly had the chance to look at it.
'A spirit bear. But why does it have those weird symbols on it?' He thought as he looked at the weird dark symbols covering the bear's body.
After thinking for a while he felt a sudden pain in his hand.
He looked at his fingers, the fingers he used to send the bear flying and he saw that their edges had become red.
'interesting.' He thought as he saw that the burns weren't healing despite his body trying to regenerate.
*growl*
The sound woke him up from his curiosity as the bear once again rushed at him, ignoring it's injuries.
Solon instead of using the concept of Force to send the bear flying again, used the concept of destruction to erace the bear. But to his surprise the bear, unaffected by his power continued to rush at him vainly trying to kill him.
Solon, once again used his senses to try and sense the reason this bear was able to resist his power but what he found was startling.
'It's absorbing the natural energy to heal itself and become stronger.'
However, the most absurd thing he sensed was something else. Something way more significant that the passive absorbition of the world's energy.
'Vaatu's energy. This spirit has turned chaotic.'
Chaotic spirits.
They were the beings responsible for the chaos of the world. They were common enemies of enery creature in existence.
'If it's here, that means Vaatu has broken the agreement. He is trying to forcefully take over the world.' He thought
'He is risking everything, if this not some kind of mistake, then all humans and spirits in the human world will most likely unite and fight against the beasts that are created solely to kill them. This will most llikely start a war, a war between chaos and peace.'
Solon raised his hand towards the bear and shot a beam of pure energy obliterating the bear on the spot.
'What are you thinking Vaatu?'
