[Solon POV]
After leaving Gaara I teleported deep into the forest next to 3 trees.
The first one to my left was a short, about 2 meters with a thin, brown trunk supporting a lot of smooth leaves.
The tree directly in front of me was a huge tree at about 29 meters supported by a thick and hard trunk. It's brown color was completed by the immense amount of green it's leaves offered despite the large amount of nuts hanging among them.
Lastly, the third tree was easily 40 meters, with a colossal trunk that was bigger than a building at the earth kingdom. There were no leaves on top of it leaving it bare for nature to awe at it's sheer size. The immense weight of the wood had forced the tree to sink into the ground.
This place was perfect.
I sat down used my powers to obtain as much information I could.
After a minute of me just looking at the trees, I created a scroll by manipulating existence itself throught the record, and I started writing everything I knew about the trees.
[Third POV]
'Hmm...'
Solon sat there looking directly at the trees in front of him ignoring everything else.
'A sapling, a tree and an aged tree. They are the general stages of a tree. They represent it's whole life. What does that even mean?' Solon thought with frustration.
After a while he continued trying to understand a common tree.
'It's whole life. A tree grows from a sapling all the way to an ancient tree, and then it withers. This growth happens as time passes. That means that it grows just like humans, but unlike humans it doesn't need food and water?"
{flashback}
"Everything comes from something. Something cannot be created from nothing since some things are constant. Energy belongs to constant things. It cannot increase or decrease."
"But why Chronos? Why is energy a constant thing?"
"Think of the universe as a lake and energy as the water. If you continue to add water to an already filled lake the lake would be destroyed, and if you take away water there will be places that will die due to it's disappearance. The same way if we increase the energy the universe has, it would explode but if we decreased it, the world would slowly die."
{flashback end}
"Everything comes from something. That means that it would be inmpossible for the tree to grow without the necessary energy for said growth. Where does the energy come from thought?" Solon mummbled to himself as he thought about Chronos' words.
'The tree is connected to nature, the ground, the air and the light.'
'It's connection with nature connects it with life and death. I doubt it could obtain energy from death to grow, so let's ask Zoi.'
"Zoi, can I ask you a question?" He said aloud.
"Sure, what's wrong?" Zoi's voice was heard fron around him despite her not being there.
"Are you providing energy to the trees to grow?" he asked directly, knowing well that both he and Zoi had work to do.
"No, I don't. I only allow their existence, I don't support it directly." Zoi said cheerfully.
"I see. Thank you." Solon said aloud, but he got no answer.
'Where does that energy come from then? From the earth?' He thought as he started using his power to obtain knowledge from the ground.
As he started concentrating at the ground he was unable to find any difference from every other time he used his power to observe it.
'Nothing new, there is no energy inside the ground, the air or the light. How does it grow then.'
Solon frustration continued to grow which led to him using more of his power to obtain as much information as possible from the world around him, ignoring the fact that he touched concepts he shouldn't have. After a while he decided to try and sense the ground without the record's help.
"I got you." He said to himself as he felt a difference in his senses, one so small it was almost untraceable if it wasn't for the fact that the record enhanced his senses to the absolute limit.
He immediately concentrated both his powers and his senses in the point the anomaly existed, ignoring everything else.
What he saw in front of him was an extremely small, cloud-like thing with multiple rings inside it keeping it condensed in a single point smaller than any human eye can see.
'What are you?' Solon thought aware that the record held no information about the existence in front of him.
What he didn't know was that an insane smile appeared on his face as he looked at unknown knowledge.
[Solon POV]
Fascinating. I came face-to-face with knowledge even the record, that kept every single piece of information, lacked.
I immediatelly tried to interact with the thing in front of me using my power over the record.
Yet, it was futile. As if the existence in front of me didn't want to be controlled by anyone. So fascinating.
I decided to learn everything about it even if it's the last thing I do.
I tried to 'scan' the small thing with the record but even then the only information I got was a simple word.
Molecule
That was the name I gave it. It was a molecule, the smallest known piece of the earth. I used my senses once again in order to observe the way this particullar molecule interacted with the word. Yet to my surpise it didn't move from it's place, it just vibrated in place. I expanded my sense a little bit and tried to find another molecule in order to observe their difference.
I didn't expect my sense to pick billions of responses of similar molecules, but they did. It seemed this small pice of earth held way more mysteries than I could imagine and I would solve all of them.
