Chapter 62 Chaotic Battle

After the war had lasted for half a Terra day, the Stinger side was in chaos.

The psyker in charge of communications will report the battle situation from the front line, and Stinger will process this information in his brain and restore the current battlefield situation as much as possible.

Then Stinger only had an impression of the war.

confusion.

The mutual cover of our own troops during the evacuation was of no use at all. The enemy seemed to be everywhere. Each unit was unable to take care of itself, and some even messed up the direction of retreat. They ran wildly in the direction of the blocked passage in a panic.

The Stinger really wanted to mobilize four or five regiments to organize defense on the spot, or at least open a safe evacuation route for his cronies, but this was simply impossible.

The enemy may appear in front of or behind you, or disappear after a round of salvos, or even a large group of enemies may appear in the center of several nearby regiments, stun them and then run away, making the defenses built up by those regiments useless.

Stinger didn't have much time to adjust his deployment as he encountered more urgent matters.

"Sir, we must eliminate the enemy's artillery unit immediately. Thousands of people may have been blown to pieces by the time I report to you!" A psyker turned his head and looked at Stinger, urging him to react quickly.

Stinger rubbed his head, quickly came up with a plan, and picked up the communicator: "Alin, I need you to lead your mobile force to the location where the enemy artillery appeared immediately. The location is in the north of the 12th district, only one thousand meters away from your location."

Ailin is the commander of a mobile regiment in the Tyrone II Planetary Defense Force. None of his subordinates travel on foot; all of them ride in Centaur troop transporters.

Originally, Talon's planetary defense force would not have had a mobile unit division, but Stinger and the Governor liked to use unconventional strategies in war, and they needed a force that could quickly execute their strategies, so the mobile force that was built with a lot of money was born.

"I've seen those artillery pieces." Ailin's voice rang out over the communicator. He had no psyker powers. "These artillery pieces are deployed outside the city. There's no one to operate them, but they can fire."

"I don't care what the enemy's artillery looks like. I only care whether you can deal with them. Get over here quickly. I'm watching you." Stinger ordered coldly.

The stinger was not trying to scare Arin. With the blessing of the Emperor of Wisdom, he could really see Arin's every move.

Ailin had no intention of disobeying orders. He and his mobile regiment rushed all the way to the location of the artillery.

However, the unmanned artillery pieces either didn't notice Aylin and the others or didn't care, and continued to pour fire on the battlefield in the distance.

Ailin's soldiers turned their heads and couldn't help but look at the bombed location.

The people couldn't be seen clearly due to the distance, but the flash and smoke produced by the violent explosion were clearly visible.

Stinger used past experience to speculate that at least half of the regiment would be destroyed in this round of shelling. Especially with the current battle situation so chaotic, shelling would be more effective against troops that were unable to find cover.

"Don't teleport, don't teleport, don't teleport..." Sting heard Ailin say as if praying. It was obvious that he had encountered the situation where the target teleported away before.

Fortunately, the distance of one thousand meters was very short for the soldiers led by Ailin. It took them less than a minute to get close enough to open fire.

"Fire!" Alyn roared.

After the order was given, the Centaur troop carrier that Ailin was riding on exploded on the spot, and the wreckage splashed into the sky.

This sudden attack attracted the attention of others, and all the soldiers in the regiment had to abandon the artillery in front of them and turn around to deal with another group of enemies.

"When did these bastards show up?" Stinger gritted his teeth. He saw that there was a whole regiment of enemies behind the mobile regiment.

They were not even in a hurry. They were already in combat mode when they appeared. All the Leman Russ tanks were lined up in a row. The infantrymen in power armor used the tanks as cover. Their commander leaned half of his body out of the turret, raised a laser pistol and roared loudly. In front of them, there was an unidentified drone floating in the air.

In contrast, Ailin's mobile regiment only began to turn after suffering a sudden attack, at which time the enemy had already launched a second round of attack.

The troop carrier was destroyed by the tank and the infantry rushing out of the vehicle were fired upon.

Some drivers with superb driving skills turned on the spot to ensure that the heavy logging guns or heavy bolters on the troop carrier could hit the enemy at an angle, but it was of no use.

All physical bullets were crushed when they flew under the drone, and only the beams fired by the laser rifles of other infantry could hit it, but they basically hit the tank armor.

"They're dead." Stinger opened his eyes, feeling a little numb.

Sting likes war very much, not because he can chop people, but because he can fully display his strategy and the gifts he obtained from the Emperor of Wisdom. But now this war only brings him anger and resentment.

Although before the war it was considered that the enemy might use teleportation technology to fight, it was not known how they would fight, and these vanguard troops were used for testing.

But the test results were still far beyond expectations.

This transmission technology is a little too stable. It is different from what I have seen in other places before.

"The mobile regiment is gone." Another psyker reported to Stinger, and then waited for his reaction to the news to see what expression the marshal would have when his favorite unit was gone.

But Stinger didn't respond. He just murmured, "I was wrong from the beginning. I shouldn't have let them retreat."

"No no no no."

"If we don't retreat, it's no different from staying where we are and waiting to die. The enemy troops that are teleported here can easily do something that can't be done in a normal war, that is, attack from both sides."

"It's a dead end, it really is a dead end."

"This war is all a mistake. I shouldn't have listened to the Governor and started the war... No, that's not right."

"At least now we know how the enemy fights, so these sacrifices are totally worth it, otherwise we wouldn't even have the chance to discuss countermeasures."

Stinger kept talking to himself like a madman.

"Haha." All the psychics present burst into laughter. They really liked seeing Stinger getting frustrated.

If there were outsiders present at this time, they would find that these people did not seem to be in a superior-subordinate relationship at all. Even though everyone seemed very busy on the surface, Stinger's orders were not always conveyed.

"The ritual is ready."

When Sting was becoming more and more depressed, he finally heard some good news, so he immediately got up and walked out of the building and came to the square outside.
