Chapter 27 - I Need a Psyker

"Where are you...asshole..."

"May the Emperor bless you...May the Legion Commander bless you..."

Duncan was so anxious that he began to pray to Qin Mo, hoping that his creation could unleash more powerful abilities at this time, such as expanding the range of biological scanning.

However, this function was not originally intended for finding people. It was designed to be used by infantry to clean up nearby enemies who managed to survive after the battle.

Duncan monitored the HUD in his visor while running at full speed with the speed boost of his power armor. When he headed due north, a red dot finally appeared on the biological scanning interface.

Human:1.

When the result appears, the location of the red dot is directly marked in the HUD field of view, allowing the power armor wearer to see the target more intuitively.

Duncan breathed a sigh of relief and moved cautiously towards the location of the red dot, while ensuring the highest possible speed while not forgetting to stay hidden.

After tracking for two minutes, Duncan hid on a metal slope and observed the situation in front of him.

Albert was walking alone, his eyes emitting purple light in the dark environment.

He kept walking, like a zombie.

Duncan subconsciously wanted to rush over and pull Albert back, and his brain thought quickly and determined that this was feasible.

If Albert's blind movement was caused by psychic energy, then the psychic energy suppression device integrated into the power armor could slightly isolate the influence of psychic energy.

But just before Duncan was about to rush over, he saw a group of rebels on motorcycles galloping towards him from a distance.

After approaching Albert, one of the bald women jumped off the motorcycle and looked at Albert excitedly, sizing him up and down, talking with her mouth moving up and down.

The distance was too far to hear what she said, but Duncan's HUD zoomed in on the woman's mouth and analyzed her lip movements.

A string of words appeared in the field of vision: We finally caught an enemy, take him back, I will use him to find the location of that human freak.

After Albert got on the motorcycle and was taken away, Duncan did not rush over immediately but followed silently at a distance.

Duncan did not stop until two hours of tracking, when Albert was led into an abandoned metal mining well.

Looking at the deep entrance of the metal mining well, Duncan squatted on the ground in anger and worry, holding his head and thinking about what should be the most correct decision for him next.

In the end, Duncan chose to return and report what he saw.

...

47th Regiment's garrison fortress.

Qin Mo was building a machine in an underground cave to reverse the location of the Genestealer leader, and then he learned from Klein what was reported by Duncan.

Qin Mo instantly understood the whole picture of the matter, which was easy to guess.

Apparently, Albert ran out to take a look, and the rebel psychic found an opportunity to control him and then took him away.

It was extremely infuriating and surprising for such a thing to happen in the Imperial Astra Militarum, but it was not surprising for it to happen in the Planetary Defense Force.

Qin Mo knew clearly that the combat effectiveness and quality of the planetary defense force were not even as good as those of Cato's militia.

"Excuse me, I've long said not to have too high expectations on our planetary defense forces." Klein said helplessly, and then habitually asked: "What should we do next?"

"Psychic..." Qin Mo looked at the machine he was making, "I need a rebel psychic, very much."

Klein didn't know why Qin Mo needed a psychic, but he knew that Qin Mo's need must have made sense.

"Let Gray and Groot clean up the collection well." Qin Mo raised his head and looked at Klein. "I only have one request, bring the psychic back, or they can bring back the psychic's head, provided that the brain tissue of the psychic is not dead."

"Yes." Klein turned around and walked out of the cave.

Qin Mo continued to enjoy the creative process.

...

Two minutes later.

An unmanned transport aircraft flew over the metal mining well.

Gray and Groot immediately jumped off the transport plane and entered the collection well, keeping two meters apart to avoid hurting each other with their gravity shields.

"I'll be in the front and you'll be in the back," Gray said.

"Leave it to me, brother." Groot turned his back to Gray, and the image behind him immediately appeared on his visor HUD, allowing him to walk backwards freely.

After going deep underground, Gray turned on thermal imaging and initiated life detection.

As the life detection wave scanned the entire mine, Gray suddenly heard a rustling sound, and then several crawling monsters appeared right in front of him.

These monsters are very different from humans and are collectively called aliens in the human empire.

The alien crawled along the wall of the collection well at an extremely fast speed.

Gray raised his hands, and his right hand released a shotgun laser to block the aliens' advance route. The prosthetic left hand that Qin Mo personally made for him released its most core function at this time.

After clenching his left hand fingers, all the aliens in front of him exploded, and biological tissues were scattered throughout the passage.

The biometric scan is now complete.

"We've disturbed the aliens' nest." Gray said as he looked at the scan results on the HUD.

In the scan results, the area was densely packed with red dots. After the specific locations of these red dots were marked in the field of vision, the red marks had to be faded to prevent Gray from only seeing the marks everywhere.

"I can't see the way out." Groot calmly watched the two people's retreat. A large number of aliens had blocked the exit and were crawling towards them.

When the first alien approached and was crushed by the gravity shield, Groot rushed forward a few steps and crushed several aliens, then stopped in front of one of the larger aliens and swung the gravity hammer in his hand.

After the aliens were smashed into 2D patterns by the gravity hammer, the gravity shield was activated again, crushing the aliens that were about to pounce on Groot.

The alien attack was temporarily blocked. Gray turned off the gravity shield and walked closer to the corpses to check.

These aliens are different from most of the rebels, and only many subtle differences in their biological structure still exist similar to humans.

Gray photographed the corpses of these creatures and took out the biological tissue collection equipment from the jet backpack.

This is a device distributed to everyone wearing top-level power armor. It looks like a pistol and can be inserted into a corpse to automatically extract biological tissue.

This was the backup plan Qin Mo left for his big plan. If he couldn't kill the clan leader, he would at least find a way to get the clan leader's blood and biological tissue.

Gray believes that it is necessary to extract the biological tissues of these new aliens.

"Keep going, brother." Gray reactivated the gravity shield, raised the shoulder cannon of the power armor and aimed it forward. "We don't have time to fight with these things. Let's finish the task quickly."

As soon as he finished speaking, the shoulder cannon that was adjusted to cannon mode released a torrent of light beams, directly melting the metal on the upper wall of the passage in front of him until a straight passage was sprayed out.

This passage originally led downwards, but thanks to Gray's kind help, a straight passage has now been made.
