After the exhausting but exhilarating shoot, Isabel and I piled into her car. As she started the engine, I noticed her sly grin.
"You hungry?" she asked, her voice laced with mischief.
"Starving," I admitted, leaning back in my seat. "But I'm supposed to stick to my diet."
Isabel snorted, throwing me a side glance. "You've just wrapped up a killer shoot. You've earned a little cheat meal. What do you say—burgers and fries?"
My stomach growled at the mere mention, betraying me. I groaned dramatically. "Carmen will kill me if she finds out. She's been monitoring my meals like a hawk lately."
"Then we won't tell her," Isabel said, smirking. "It'll be our little secret."
With that, she took a sharp turn, heading straight toward the nearest fast-food joint.
